Oh dear, Havvy as Team Manager. Good luck with that one, he could maybe ride a bike in his day, but Team Management skills and interpersonal skills ! He most certainly has not got.2 points

I think all teams should have them. Just baffled why they weren’t used for the past two seasons that’s all.2 points

Less media coverage??? Poole have some of the best and consistent local and regional media coverage. Add to that the probable new streaming service and 'the job's a good'un'!1 point

According to International Speedway, Vic Huxley failed to appear for Australia v England in their 1932-33 series in his homeland because the promoters' failed to meet his demanded appearance fee'1 point
-
Found something from 1931 The Daily Mail reveals that a strike nearly preceded the speedway test between England and Australia, the riders demanding the doubling of the fiver which is the usual appearance fee. Despite the hothead's insistence on a strike, wiser counsels prevailed and the matter will be thrashed out at a special meeting of the National Speedway Association, when it is expected that a decision to make the fee for test appearances of 10 pounds, will be reached Presumably all went well. No mention of this on International Speedway1 point

"IF"Jason decides to puts his racing head on then the only rider likely to beat him will be Tai, I would suggest the reason Jason is riding is a favour to his W.A. Rock Oil distributor.1 point

I don't disagree, but he has 'matured' as a rider in recent years, as he has ridden more.1 point

It is a good job Poole moved to the lower league as they would be in trouble with all the changes they make.1 point

Yes I have a deal of sympathy for you wanting to stay on track but to be fair. The discussion did go off at a tangent talking about Scott. But the fact Wolves didn't sign him (or the other way round) now means he's potentially available to the Panthers. So the discussion was relevant.1 point

they wouldn't have to keep making daft rules if clubs didn't act like such jerks chasing basically meaningless titles1 point

No alterations oh that’s a lot of people not attending then...decent venue no alterations that’s a shame1 point

That’s Skidder speak for “there will be no rider announcements tomorrow”. So what else could it be? Sponsors? New promoter? Matt coming back full time? Go on Skidder, you’re usually in the know so give us a clue1 point

Hopefully for Panthers sake they get some confirmation ASAP on final 3 riders, because information on season tickets to be announced Thursday according Carl. Some fans may wish to know the 1-7 before purchasing, although I bet season ticket holders are hard to come by these days.1 point

What like they did with Readings bid to race at Swindon, giving the NL another much needed team, exposure for a homeless club trying to increase interest with a view to finding a location for a new track while giving more NL opportunities for British youngsters??1 point

Correct. It's a rule that was voted in at the AGM. Not a bad idea, and certainly better than the 31 July or 31 August transfer deadlines we've had previously. At the start of the season no team can kick a rider out until they've ridden 6 matches. At the end of the season once you've completed 18 matches you have to stick with your team for the last 6 matches and play-offs. This is much fairer as all teams are working to the same deadline. With a cut-off at a specific date (31 July or 31 August) teams have done uneven numbers of meetings at that date, so they can fiddle their way round the rules. Of course there will still be ways to fiddle, but lessthan with a set-date deadline.1 point

I think it is 4.00 Gav. I think when we made that decision a few years ago we were thinking that 3.99 was permissible in the NJL.1 point

People having opinions is what it is all about , some may not agree with them but they may not agree with your opinion. It is a bit of fun and should just treat as such.1 point

Nope the national championship was over three rounds, the last being at Auburn in Seltember. Last weekend meeting was NOT the National championship - it was for determining the two riders who will get places in the GP qualifying rounds. I recall his brief spell with Sheffield when he won loads of credit for his sheer guts and can-do attitude. Considering his seemingly endless run of bad luck I'd like to see him having some part to play in the sport. If he's fit and willing to go, someone should give him a place. If nothing else, he could have a role in team management. One of speedway's unsung heroes in my book.1 point

A couple of weeks ago, the average so far for the season was 334. This included a couple of cup matches at the start of the season against higher league opposition which got 5-600. League matches have been getting 250-300.1 point
-
Yet again its just short sighted from the BSPA. The NL is dangling by a thread and with Plymouth likely to attempt a step up again next season, Kent to discover how viable two side are and standalone teams like IOW & Mildenhall to find out how workable a reduced fixture list is things are far from certain. To then prevent the possibility of Reading, Exeter or any other nomad team that has the funding from joining the league when clubs are folding far faster than they are opening is yet another showing of ineptitude by the powers that be.1 point
