a lot will depend on how Rusty is and if he is fit. He is awesome at Ashfield these days with Theo in recent weeks doing his best to challenge for that crown. Kasper too round Ashfield has become quite dominant and we love the fact he cant gate cos it makes for great racing. Consistency is Glasgows problem at home but I would hope they could win - whether by enough is a different question (and one this pessimist reckons is answered no). My opinion doesnt include the Edinburgh meeting which I missed due to the moving of time to a bizarre 5pm

If you do that can we cite Wolbert for assisting in a suicide? Just a thought.... (desperate lol)

perhaps seen as some sort of loyalty to fans as the majority probably just go to home meetings so by missing just away meetings they arent perceived as hitting the fans? Perhaps so as not to hit home gates as thats where the money to pay them will come from? I dont know if its true or anything, just making hypothesese

If you know something, say it. its not fair or particularly clever to do the 'I know something you don't know' type of post without backing it up. If you aren't prepared to back it up then don't say it. We all know we get more info out of Edinburgh than Glasgow about our team these days anyhow

You'd have to know that Anders would definitely be able to make a go of it , you cant take a risk on a rider likely to drop out again. Ringwood might come into the equation depending on availability and averages. The two you name are the only two I would definitely have on my list from day 1 as well though

I asked last week and was told he IS still on borrowed equipment. I still think people are aiming the criticism in the wrong direction. He was signed to get an average for next season, no one ever seriously thought he was a no 1. He was only ever expected to learn this season and to constantly criticise him for not being a no 1 - a position he was never expected to ride to - is unfair on the rider. If he comes back at reserve next season - a more realistic position - judge him then and not this season against past failures who couldnt score at reserve. the fault here is NOT the riders and knocking him - as opposed to those who put him in the position - is counter productive imo

Many fans have also already technically 'paid' for these fixtures in their season tickets which are for a guaranteed minimum of the basic league programmed meetings at least.

On paper, Comets should be well in control of this league but hey its not raced on paper. Good result for Tigers today and please never ever teach Kasper Lykke how to gate. Watching him come from behind on a racers track is the type of thing to being anyone back through the gates. Mason Campton must have thought it was in the back as he went into the final lap of heat 14 well up...... Kasper strikes again! Rusty was so far ahead in one heat he could have marked his programme before second came in. For the Comets, Josh is still class on and off track. Ricky Wells tried hard to back him up but for me Howarth Jacobs and Lambert were all disappointing (in fairness Joe did look as if he was struggling before the meeting) An okay afternoon's speedway made even better by a surprise visit from the lovely Bluejam - here's hoping next season you are back shouting on your own team - and I'll even bring the scotch pies

it was a close meeting from the point of view of score but if you look at it from a speedway purists point of view I personally think the majority of other meetings at Ashfield have been better. That doesnt take away from the performances of Rusty, Theo, Tero, Kennett its just that most of the heats were not balanced from a competitive point of view so there were a fair few strung out heats, something we are not used to seeing at Ashfield these days

Strangely enough myself and topcatt both commented when we saw Neil Machin at Glasgow this year that he was looking years younger and far less strained than he has done in recent years. Whatever you think of him he has a vast experience and knowledge and if looks are anything to go by, the current situation with him and Sheffield seems to be the best of both worlds for both parties

perhaps you should check facts before throwing accusations. A quick and easy way to do it is just to hit the arrow beside his name in the post of his that you quoted. It takes you straight back to his post which you will see is alive and kicking and exactly where he left it nothing hurting here - how about your end?
