Don’t think fans would grudge any rider “ good money” but the reality for a lot of clubs is that attendances don’t see to be getting any better, and Birmingham seem to be one of these clubs,so the poster has a point IMO.Speedway riders don’t disclose their earnings( fair enough) so fans can only speculate.
On the Berwick Website that was how it was described. If you type in Berwick v Rye House2012 you can see the article in full.Cook won his 1st race the pulled out the meeting if I remember correctly.
I get your point,it’s just Mr Barrie telling us that that he is right with everything, and if you want to disagree it’s our fault.Cleary there is no point of having a column for result if you have look elsewhere for it though
Think a lot of fans were thinking Sedgmen was a big gamble, but the ridiculous low Team averages have big part to play in recruitment of riders.Berwick fans criticism of signing Danny G need to realise that they have 4.84 rider who will be good for 10-14 points at home most weeks which is more than be said of other riders with similar average.Admittedly the track and his gating give him a big start. He is really poor at most other GB tracks.
We reach the Final of the Premier Challenge Trophy in 2012 .beaten by Rye House in final. If l remember correctly our Guest Craig Cook pull out the meeting at Berwick after 1 race.
Jimmy Beaton the former Glasgow Promoter always said that weather forecast should not interfere with track prep,if the weather intervenes that’s bad luck.
