Not a Woffy fan,but don't see what all the fuss is about, the same fans moaning watch their speedway every week with riders missing ,guests,R/R yet get all excited about a rider missing a meeting .He could have said nothing and just got "a sickness bug" on the week of the British Final.
The sport is a joke as far as a serious Competition,I would be p&ssed off if I was a Newcastle fan a good team on paper but will hardly ever see that team on track at the one meeting.
speedway is certainly a dry weather sport nowadays. Many fans don't even consider going if there is a cloud in the sky.Myself included ,better things to do than stand around while riders tell the Ref the meeting is Off.
I am certainly not Anti- Glasgow was just pointing out a fact ,going by your reply you have just joined me in talking drivel if that is you opinion of the situation regarding admission pricing and average wages doubling
thats what's wrong, riders wages have doubled crowds have declined and clubs are in trouble. They have upgraded their Stadium and spent a lot of money but it will be interesting to see how crowds hold up especially away support which is very sparse these days.
Perhaps they saw a home win on the cards and though they better attend as it might be a rare occurance this season if the pundits are right.Plus Berwick brought a bus load of fans as well.
You are right regarding problems in the sport and Personaly did not see any changes in Winter Agm to resolve any of them.Talk among fans and forum topics suggest crowd levels are poor at a large number of tracks. Its time Promoters stop paying wages they can't afford and stopped this"self interest" approach to success.Feel sorry for Plymouth fans. Its no surprise that recent PL winners suffered heavy financial losses.
At least everybody seems to be singing from the same hymn sheet now ,it's only a couple of seasons ago that this advertising in holiday centres etc was a waste of time among some of the people running the show.
