  1. I agree,.but replacing reserves with guests from other teams is the 1st thing I would stop.
  2. You have your opinion and I respect what you say but IMO the sport has been allowed to develope this way and that too me have been its downfall. You get to the end of the season and guests are helping teams that may hamper their own teams chances whats the point in that? I am afraid I just cant take the sport seriously anymore . I like to see a good meeting irrepective of the result but even they are getting few and far between these days.I think you are lucky at Scunthorpe as you seem to have a decent track and see better meetings than most.I certainly enjoyed my visit last year.
  3. There you go. I would just ban guests !!!!!!!,I really think the sport is in dire straits,How can it be taken seriously.
  4. page 10 rule 117/a sub section/3 paragraph/ 2 subsection12 .you will find it somewhere, who said our sport was Mickey Mouse .Think Dyer is gauranteed a League winners medal this year given the number of Teams he is going to ride for
  5. Thats where Dick's experience and 50 years in the sport has it's advantage in these situations.
  6. Considering giving this a miss till they can make up their mind as to how to prepare the track, for the fans or for the riders .I would have thought prepare a decent track and tell the riders to get on with it.
  7. Just need to replace the screaming banshee Pearson and it will be perfect.
  8. He wont be the only Berwick fan to think that possibility, does not deserve your nasty reply, too much having to tow the party line by some Berwick supporters, it is a forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion.PS I think we will get more than 25.
  9. Have to agree ,Alex may regret making that statement (if he did make it)Fans can only take out of it that he has lost his confidance or he was having" a go" at the state of the track without speaking too the right people before making the statement. He has created trouble of his own making IMO
  10. Not his biggest fan ,but hats off to him he is looking impressive and classy this season ,hope he has turned the corner in his career.Fantastic style.
  11. Good to see that the 2 juniors escaped with lesser injuries than first feared, wish them a speedy recovery it really did look a bad one.The medical Team done an excellent job IMO.
  12. changing the track every week till you get it right is not the answer IMO.make it the same every week and tell the riders to adapt to it.
  13. The track should be prepared for the start of the season, you cant wait till half way through the season to get it right, there will be nobody left to watch it at this rate.
  14. Edinburgh were the better team and deserved their win .thought Barrett improved as the meeting went on and got used to the track that was different again from last week. Edberg was woeful and there has to be concerns regarding his form.one question I have ask about track prep is ,Why is the outside line into the 3rd bend prepared with so much dirt on the outside going into the bend when none of the riders are prepared to use that part of the track until very late in the meeting after it has been graded all night, surely it would benefit the entertainment if riders were prepared to use it All meeting. This is only my observation and their might be a valid reason for this though watching tonights GP the riders were using all of the track for all of the meeting.Hope the 2 juniors that had nasty falls tonight are not to badly injured and wish them a speedy recovery.
  15. Steady On dont make rash decisions on such an important issue.
  16. After reading the article in SS I think the Management should prepare what THEY think is a raceable track and tell the riders that THEY should adapt to the track instead of experimenting week in week out, you will never keep 7 riders happy regarding track prep, If the track is consistant each week that is all the Management can do for their part.IMO the racing has been poor this season for whatever reasons.I know the weather has not been kind to track prep so far this season can only hope it improves to help track prep.
  17. Perhaps if Ricky was not 100% we should have used a Guest in such an important fixture .There again perhaps he was ok who knows. At the end of the day we are out of the KO Cup good luck to Redcar.
  18. Berwick might be Horse Mince is that better or worse
  19. What about if you highest average reserve is missing as happened at Glasgow last week for the Tigers (Garrity)
  20. Would just like to congratulate Kelvin on what I consider to be an excellent column in the Star this week.Hope it is going to be a regular future. His opinions on the mechanical side of the sport are an excellent addition to the magazine IMO.
