Fair play to Keith Chumpman, he prepared a fair track for everyone, if it had been GB v Poland v Aus v Lynn it may have been a bit different though. The point to note is prepare a fair and decent track we will have good racing. Promoters up and down the land please take note. Yes we want our teams to win but the racing takes priority!

Whilst I appreciate Ole has the weather to contend with and an expensive rain off to possibly deal with is anyone else sick and tired of his hard slick track prep? The World Cup match at Peterborough showed what great racing cn be achieved with a well prepared track. Apparently Ole was there to witness it. Come on Ole shape up or ship out!

Maybe it was part of his natural broadslide. If you watch old footage of Penhall I have noticed that compared to most other riders he almost over steers with his back wheel coming out of bends. Whether there was a rider near him or not he had an uncanny habit of doing this. It is clearly evident in the '81 final where he was constantly trying to make long straights. I have watched many Penhall races on video and to me this was just part of his style. Me personally. Still can't make my mind up if Carter was pushed or simply fell. One thing is for certain, he had "Noooooooooooo Chance!"
