When I played Saturday football it was 30 seconds added in per goal - that’s 3 minutes for staters for the 6 goals. I think it was also the same for subs being introduced. most, as usual. are forgetting the board indicated a MINIMUM amount of time to added on - for those slow at the back that’s a a MINIMUM amount of time! If it says 6 minutes that’s the very minimum the ref needs to add on the rest is entirely at his discretion as he and he alone controls that game. for the record footballing wise I couldn’t give a monkies about either side - but at least understand the rules properly and all footballers know this stuff as it’s drummed into them - fans is another matter of course

To be fair a full Hillsborough with the crowd behind them is an intimidating place, once the 2nd goal went it it was always a possibility - in the good old days when they were in the Prem in late 90's I saw a fair few top teams turned over there including a proper 3-1 beating of Man U featuring Scholes, Keane, Beckam, Schmeichal the lot!

Not unhappy with this either - the other thing is like King he is always trying if not in a scoring position, or if he is trying to get a better position - he wont just give up

from programmed rides Danyon 4+1 and Cook 3+1 - kind of what you expect a reserve to get really. Both will have better days - seems errors kept their scoring down a bit last night (for the record wasn't there either just going of updates and the heat details and comments on here) Fast forward a couple of seasons and you would hope both in the 1-5 positions

Have to feel for Danyon a bit as he seems to take the R/R in heat 1 and thats always likely to be a 1 or a 0 (although I am aware he popped out for a 5-1 the other week in heat 1) As ever with reserves its their programmed rides I take note of and for DH it was 4+1 from 4

Good to see Rew have a great meeting - the rest pretty much as expected other than Basso - is he demoralised or something? Going backwards in the scoring. Expected a bit more from Hans although he had 2 Ret's it seems or was that just pulling up when in last?

I was hoping to make this my first match at Owlerton this season but the lunchtime rain was very heavy - plus it did continue have heavy pockets of rain until about 4.30 when it did brighten up. The damage hadbeen done by then!

Last season Wolves came and provided a last heat decider - it was a great meeting - I reckon a little more comfortable - hope to be there as well!

I have been somewhat sceptical of the pre emptive call offs, however I think they have all turned out to be the correct call, and if it saved Peterborough having to pay rent for the EoES then I can clearly see why they took that decision. Weather forecasting despite the 'mick taking' does seem pretty accurate these days

Its a fair point - nobody 'likes' losing every week and long term making up the numbers isn't a good thing, in my speedway lifetime KL have far too often been at the lower end of things and that would frustrate the hell out of me. Peterborough on the other hand have won the title 3 maybe 4 times I can think of so not quite getting their annoyance - the last season was bad but they had just won the title before that so I am less sympathetic to them.

i think perservering sometimes is worth it and in his case i think it definitely is

Not able to get to the meeting today - pleased to see better scores for Rew and well done to Danyon - chipping in with more points, currently sat in a hotel room in Stirling listening to the Wolves v Peterborough on BBC WM - have to say I never thought I would see the day when speedway was broadcast live on the BBC even if it is the radio!

Saw him several times last season - he had a rich run of form from June-August where he was getting double figures every week at Foxhall. Saw him at the end of season at Sheffield he got 1, I think, loudly booed and gestured to by some Tigers fans - he just doesn't go well at Sheffield and his signing for them was probably a mistake! I wont deny his end of season form wasn't good - playoff semi v's Belle Vue he was poor (but then again only Doyle had a decent playoffs for the Witches) - as stated above though some of his riding at Foxhall was exceptionally good to protect team mates and he seemed pretty popular with the fans.

I am recalling the comments of Doyle here when he said Ipswich was a well run club - perhaps fans of clubs that maybe have an issue with Batch need to consider IF their club was well run!

was hoping to get to this one - however family committment has cropped up so wont be able to make it - sort of glad expecting a decent 55+ score from the Tigers
