Polish Ekstraliga 2017 Fixtures
Mark replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Instead of booking an expensive seat with Ryanair, getting two buses or a train. Taxi to Torun from the airport is 150-200pz max. Agree a price before setting off and ask for 150pz. Takes about 40 minutes by car.. Easy -
Polish Speedway 2017 News,line-ups, Rumours Etc
Mark replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Anyone know if Wroclaw are back at their old stadium in 2017 ? -
Agree with that. he was foolish and caused crashes in 2015 but he was in very good form 2016. Bar bad luck at Torun he would have been the Champ
-
PUK won the Torun GP and was a semi finalist in Australia. How can he be beyond his peak ?
-
It will be a tough year for everyone. But his last meeting was to win the Euro's. Injury doesn't seem to affect his riding so I hope he comes back to top form. I also hope Monster don't play team tactics with there riders for team gain On 2016 results you've played pretty safe with those selections.
-
It will be hard for all the riders. This must be the toughest 15 names we have seen, there are no weak links, so I am expecting a few surprise big names finishing outside the top 8. It could be the most competitive title chase we've seen too. I fear the racing could be more cut throat than ever so I hope the riders all have injury free seasons. Arguably this 15 could not be improved upon so the 2017 GP challenge will unfortunately dilute the quality for 2018. We might get Bjerre back for 2018
-
No chance of 15th if he has a full season without injury. He'll be top 8 if he can get his bikes working properly. His last meeting before his crash was to win the Euro's so he was starting to fly again..
-
Poor. It should be included.

Even though some of the journalism can occasionally be heavily biased, with Hancock's race throwing disgrace as a prime example, the Star is a first rate magazine for a very good price. I always buy a copy when at a track.

Krsko 2017 - Round 1
Mark replied to kraftwerk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
There is nothing in Krsko worth seeing or staying overnight for. A day trip by train is the best option from a big town like Zagreb or Ljubljana. -
You are a year late.

Why not go straight to gerhard and buy for much cheaper ?

2017 Grand Prix Venues
Mark replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Foreign diplomat Sir Humph. An expert on all subjects including Russia. -
yes but this side should win plenty of meetings.
-
you need to check Nicholls away 2016 average and you have the 2016 Premiership top average rider. Plus Bomber. Not many sides will be matching that strength in depth with the 50 point average.
-
You have a good solid side here, all try hard and are racers. I read that Scott Nicholls will still be doing the GP stuff on BTSport so that may need a juggle on fixtures.
-
You must work for the BPSA. Dont bother replying because I can't be bothered reading it. Nor anything else on this thread. Negativity is a big reason why speedway is in such a poor state. People who won't open there eyes to new ideas just because 'we've always done it this way'.
-
it's his lack of willing to investigate by saying we've never done it before so why change now. IF everyone had that attitude in life we would still be cavemen. Why not open up your mind and try to see if savings can be made. If a rider can cut costs then promoters can justifiably pay less to a rider to save money themselves.
-
Rob Godfrey is playing the role of an Ostrich by sticking his head in the sand and ignoring some excellent advice from those who know better than him. BPSA again pathetic.
-
Heat 13 and 15 are just 2 heats. Teams won't field GP stars in the main so they won't be as strong in those heats as well. Holder gone and probably Iversen too.
-
Bar the odd GP star every team will look like a good 2016 Championship side. Holder already out the plans for Poole, Zagar unlikely to be back. If Bomber and Scott had ridden in the 2016 Championship they would have done very well against that level of opposition. They may not consistently beat GP riders but will beat anyone else regularly so you have the making of a decent team at Rye. Nicholls is a quality rider at the small technical tracks..
