  1. If a rider is doubling up. His team finishes bottom of the Prem but the other team is top of the Champ then who does he ride for in the promotion play off ? If riders have one average that applies to both leagues I'm assuming they can all double up with no nationality bias ?? If a rider does double up how is their on-going average adjusted throughout the year. I guess his Prem points are multiplied by 1.4 but Champ points are taken as scored. Good to see the PLRC (now CLRC, that has to change) moved to another track. Hope the British Final gets moved from Wolves too. A good track but too many first bend bunching problems.
  2. Club bosses have spent three days voting through plans to restructure league racing which sees both Rye House and Somerset going up! And there’s good news for troubled Leicester and Belle Vue with both clubs ready to come to the tapes again – and at the top level. The leagues have been rebranded Speedway Great Britain Premiership and SGB Championship – and promotion and relegation has been introduced! Workington are expected to take their place in the Premiership, but this is subject to confirmation. All riders will now have one average, based on PL figures, for team building with a 50-point limit for Premiership and 40 for Championship. No team changes will be permitted in either league after July 31. The British Speedway Promoters’ Association also intend to work with the new Gerhard engine after a visit to the Switzerland base of the GTR. This will reduce costs for riders with engines typically needing a fraction of the servicing of other engines. More details will follow once the arrangement is concluded. It means riders who only raced in the EL will see their average increased by 1.4 to bring them in line with Premier League averages. 3. Not paid any rent and owe other people too. How much did the opening meeting shambles cost them ?
  4. I think it's a 3 league limit. The Danes will have the biggest problem. Polish, Danish and then a choice of Sweden or England. Not many non Danes ride in Denmark.
  5. As Victor Meldrew once said I do not believe it. They didn't really announce green helmet colours instead of yellow. Some saw the sarcasm of that being the promoters big Day 1 decision and some didn't. But Jason Doyle did tweet he is doubling up next season as he wants more time on the bike. Which team will he add to Swindon ?
  6. First decision announced on Twitter. Yellow helmet will be changed to green helmet for TV matches. That is Day 1 done.
  7. Thanks. But he would have had the technical knowledge and could be used in that way ?
  8. I'm sure you're right but I think the Star article said it was Castagna & Phil Morris plus Ref. Both Castagna and Morris had quotes about the ban.
  9. Speedway cannot afford to lose big sponsorship so lets not lose Monster. As a sponsor they have rights to be in places where others cannot go. But maybe some ground rules need to be set out regarding where they can go and there involvement. A failure by those who brokered the deal in the outset. Realistically there is nothing stopping Hancock employing Joe as a mechanic and cheerleader. I doubt we'll see less of him. He knows it gets under other teams skin.
  10. that is something I would doubt very much.
  11. If Hancock retired with a bike failure Holder would have won 3pts with Zmartzik 2pts. As Hancock was in between them Holder gets 3pts with Zmartzik 1pt. I cannot believe you can't work that out.
  12. No. I think the article was bias, as simple as that. There was no questioning of Hancock's statement about him going wide in the race. Burbidge forgets to ask "why did Hancock then ride tight to Holder on the last bend". No questioning of how the slowing Hancock entering the first bend of Lap 4 suddenly quickens up when Holder went past. The tape shows him gaining on Holder on the back straight. That is without doubt for the court of law. If his bike was not working properly, he was worried about losing a chain, then he would have continued to slow. He would have ridden wide of Holder on the last bend. Burbidge challenges the FIM bike inspection but nothing Hancock says. Why would he slow, why do it ? Are you that blind ? Hancock already Champion so lets do our best to get a Monster 1,2,3 on the podium by getting Holder up to 3rd place.
  13. I love hard racing. Doyle wasn't dirty in 2015, he was impatient by going for a small gap when it wasn't always there. Lindgren has done nothing dangerous in my eyes but he does shut the door firmly when needed and he doesn't shut off the gas. The race him and Holder had in the SWC Final was tremendous and a credit to both riders bravery. Pedersen is the same as Lindgren. There are plenty of 'good mates' riding in the series so they will give each other room. Maybe those without a big team sponsor or those who ride without trying to be too friendly will ride harder than the rest ?
  14. Hancock's image is ruined in the eyes of the fans. The Star can paint there own picture. But fans know the real story.
  15. Hancock is a FIM ambassador. Maybe that explains why its being swept under the carpet.
  16. John Leslie has written plenty but here is my Q&A. Why no questioning about why GH appeared to gain speed after Holder went past him. Why no questioning about why GH rode tight with Holder around bends 3 and 4 on Lap 4 when he stated he went wide in the race in case he lost a chain, fell and got run over. How can he question the FIM jury's inspection of the bike as they know what works on a bike, what doesn't, what slows it down. They didn't believe GH. A less bias article you will struggle to find but if you see Burbidge's twitter feed you'll see why. He loves his mate Grin. It was poor journalism. Correct
  17. he could have asked for a wild card for the 2016 challenge final but maybe he knew a 2017 wild card was coming to him.
  18. they seem to be the confirmed names now. http://www.fyens.dk/modules/mobile/article?articleid=3092215
  19. It will be a good read in the Star. I hope they analyse all the facts including the report, with some FIM quotes, on Hancock's bike being in good shape after the heat. And then I hope they condem Hancock and say what we are all saying on here. Anything less would be poor journalism and weak. Anything less would be sucking up to Monster and Hancock.
  20. Hancock should not lose the 2016 title as he won that fairly with more points than the rest. But he should get a ban from a GP or three in 2017 for being a cheat at Melbourne. I base that on the FIM panel adjudication that he broke a rule..
  21. In his evidence via statement Hancock said his bike was getting worse and he went wide to avoid getting run over in the event of his chain coming off. But on bend 3 and 4 of lap 3 he rode an inside line into the corner. Another contradiction of visual fact in his very flimsy statement. It will take a lot to get out of this big hole now. Hancock has let himself and the sport down very badly.
