Is nt the team average 38.5 for next year. Very good team otherwise although I wonder how Robbo will be and whether Lindgren is consistent enough.
-
I agree Boobs. I think the frustrating thing for us is that Len will assemble an attractive six riders then pick a poor fitting seventh which undoes all of the good work. As you say though better to have speedway than not. Is it true Newport may be returning next year?
-
Can I ask. There seems to be talk of the EL falling apart and the leagues combining and because of that little team planning can be done. Is this because sky sports is allegedly threatening to withdraw its coverage or for some other reason that has passed me by?
-
Now I am sure I have read them wrongly but if the totals attributed to the final green sheets on the bspa site are correct only Edinburgh, Ipswich Newcastle and Somerset finished the season with a combined higher average than the Rockets. I know everyone can what if . . . but what if we had used our total points quota at the start of the season and not had such horrible luck with injuries!!!!!!!!! Im not a big fan of rolling averages as I don't think they are a true reflection of a riders actual form but they may really help us next year if we can keep the nucleus of this team - JG,AM, TN,JB and PA together.

When is the promoters meeting this year?

If only it was Linus !!!

And Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz are our new starting marshalls. Oh just to get back to a winning team in the race for honours and an injury free season will be a plus. I know everyone knocks the presentation but rather than just moaning about it why don't we spend some time working out how to change it for the good without incurring significant costs and ways of promoting the club to boost crowds.

Well done Somerset. Awesome team and good support. Not sure they deserved a win on the day though. Morris's falls self inflicted and almost bought nelson a cropper. Pleased for their promoters and management too. We also should give thanks to Doyle and josh who have been great guests for us. For us a strange season. Injuries again have killed it. however A team including mellgren nelson garrity Pontus and Bunyan next year won't be far away. Sorry but for me Olly has been a very poor number one. If we stay injury free ( for once) the good days will return. Bring on Lambert and a proper number one and we will be a good team. Just one thing about crowds. It's fairly obvious that only so many teams can be truly challenging for honours and they will always see solid crowds. Those who are nt challenging will see crowds fall. Rye are no different. If we have a top team so crowds will increase irrespective of whether there is enough fish or not .

I can't remember the actual words but my interpretation was something along the lines of Len silver is the best promoter there is and you need to get behind him because you don't know what you ve had until you've lost it.

Will we be running in 2014 and if so in what league I wonder. I had nt read too much into closing the season straight after the cup final on 6/10 - three weeks earlier than usual -but Peter Sampsons interview straight after the NLRC sounded a little sinister. Thoughts?
-
Did nt Jason garrity average near ten points - an improvement of five points - before his injury and come seventh or thereabouts in the british final?

You obviously are nt local. It would have been fit for power boat racing I suspect. Seriously there was a ton of rain and the track is by the side of a river that seeps. Don't forget as we'll the rye riders need all the track time they can get especially ollie before the cup final -

Lots and lots of heavy rain over the last 24 hours here. Nothing surprising about the call off. -
New Generation Who Will Push On.?

I can't believe Jason Garrity is nt mentioned. The most exciting rider in the premier league and was it seventh on his british final debut? What needs to happen is a team of young lions like JG worrall Ellis need to get roughed up on a sponsored tour of OZ with someone like Jason crump as team coach over a winter then fed not only into the EL but whichever continental league they can be placed. We will then start to see the cream hit the surface. -

Very proud of the Rockets. A big thank you to Josh. However one of those seasons of what might have been for us. I think everyone bar Anders and Kasper have had serious injuries this year. Despite the pundits I think we would have been top four or five and will be if we keep Pontus and the remaining six next year we will be very entertaining and possibly too dogs. Feel sorry for Glasgow. One of those seasons for them too. Anders looks a great prospect so not a bad start to team building next year. Very proud of the Rockets. A big thank you to Josh. The bike will need to be faster than the one he was riding for us then Bolly. On the basis that Olly's return is imminent can we keep him, Garrity and Pontus by redeclaring. Once fit that would be some 1-7.
-
Wooo hooo. Sky sports says Olly Allen may be back for the northern tour.
-
And the legend that is Peter schroeck. Not sure that's spelt right!!!!
-
I see anger management classes looming for one grumpy individual. I would love to hear Ronnie Russell's take on things. I am sure he lost a fortune personally but his decisions sometimes did beggar belief.
-
How close is Garrity to being back. If its close could we accommodate Pontis and JG? I wonder if Kasper is on a last warning. He had a lot more fire in his belly than I have seen recently. Anyone know of Luke's intentions.

Actually Cook moved at the tapes by a mile in one of the races he did nt break the tapes in and did nt get called back. I only make it as an observation as Mellgren got away with a jump a couple of races later. Those aside I thought the ref was excellent.
