  1. Sorry but that does sound a bit lame to me. I'd be saying the same thing if my club did it. They do realise England is generally cold and wet in March, April, Oct. So really season May- Sept? But that never happens cos of fixture back log. So why didn't Poole rain off yesterday with 80% chance of heavy showers. Not light but heavy and they didn't even materialise!! It was really windy last night too but crowd wasn't too bad I thought. If you use that comparison it does look a bit ridiculous.
  2. Exactly, 70% chance of dry weather or more most of the day. But if there is photographic evidence of the track super wet, I'll happily hold my hands up.
  3. Ah yes but the chance of a wet night tonight are the same as being dry, that's the point. And then there will be fixture backlog again when weather prob even worse!!
  4. They are worse than Lynn!!! Acc to BBC 31% chance of light showers! Are the Prem clubs on a protest against riding??!!
  5. I only remember Steve and FB voicing their concerns. But really Richard was always going to hit the ground running so I never had a problem with it after the shock wore off as I thought he was at Plymouth!
  6. Well sounds like the track is a lot better now and sorted from the base like what happened at Poole, so should be good racing! Prediction wise I can't decide, so I'll sit on the fence and say a draw lol.
  7. We will, but this is based on full teams of course!
  8. Not anymore sorry to ruin your joke! The point was the forecast was wrong, no heavy showers which were forecast! And KL just has LIGHT rain showers forecast!!
  9. Run by pretty much the same people though? BSN might cover it, not sure which Glasgow meetings they are covering.
  10. Okay, so take Poole example then. 80% chance of rain throughout the day. The rain being showers possible heavy. But only a few showers in the morning and one at 6.30pm and still raced with no problems. But according to someone else KL have 50% chance of rain and it's off! Just as much chance it will be dry. Start calling meetings off in England for 50% chance of rain, then no one would ever ride!
  11. It was also said about Brady Kurtz when first in the Poole team and seemed to affect him. Tbh there is only one Darcy Ward, hard to copy or replicate.
  12. I'm glad it's not the norm in the other league, as based purely on forecasts both meetings would have been off tonight whereas they both got completed. Forecasts are often wrong in this country. If it was 80%-90% chance of heavy/persistent rain then fair enough. But 50% chance, come on.
  13. Are they worried about it affecting the gate?
  14. Bit harsh on Hans there!! I don't think he'll thank you for saying he should retire lol. A few more seasons left in him I think! Really good night for Nathan Ablitt though who is just going to get better with every home meeting.
  15. Feel for Ben Barker, he normally really good at Poole. Can pretty much expect a heatleader score and when he was on for a paid win his bike goes or something blew up on it!
  16. Is the weather forecast really bad? I mean sometimes heavy showers were forecast for Poole today but they didn't call it off early, which is good cos hasn't really happened!
  17. Be good to get a win against Leicester though for confidence even if it is only 2 points, so they are ready for next home meeting. Who is that against again??
  18. With the strength at Birmingham's bottom end they should be getting at least 40 imo.
  19. Having Chris Harris will put a few more through the door.
