BERWICK v EDINBURGH (July 5)
LisaColette replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No worries I was just using Poole 2021 as an example with the original question about if SCB can get involved. -

Asked how he started working at Pirates, the track specialist told the Daily Echo: βIt was towards the end of last season, there were a few problems. The SCB initially sent me down and we sorted it. https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/20070909.terry-track-ensured-smooth-sailing-pirates-wimborne-road-shale/ -

Yes, when Poole had a massive crater a few seasons back and had to delay a meeting by over an hour to sort it out, the SCB sent Terry (i think it was him!) to sort it out. I think Birmingham also had it at a similar time as well. -
Not sure that is a valid reason as they got 10 for Dan and paid 9 for Ashton who wouldn't have got that on form he was on imo.

Or Plymouth!! (So far) But can win at Glasgow. Strange really.

I was thinking more 'retired'. Original poster was talking about Cockle anyway so was kinda right even though I misread it! Also best wishes to Hume, doesn't sound too good about being lifted into an ambulance from reading on the updates site. -

Family emergency is a bit different to catching colds! -
Danny Ford wants 2h +2a. I would have thought clubs running in NDL would be the ones that don't want it.

What are we happy with?

Even if we are talking one month rather than weeks, they aren't going to be able to do all their fixtures? Haven't they only done 1 league meeting?
-
Yeah, that is true. Communication with fans is pretty bad compared to other sports.
-
I would prob wait for another announcement tbh as Worky said they were going to make a statement to the fans when everything was sorted.

Think you can overlook that for a 'late family emergency' which is how it was put on SM. Rider Replacement will operate for Jack Holder due to a late emergency family issue. -

Interesting as at the time everyone moaned it was too slick lol. -

As Hume said the track was totally different when Berwick were down. With three days of 28-30c heat, they really needed to start prepping the track before yesterday. Whether they have access to the stadium is another issue though. -
Most riders ride with injuries as they need to be earning. Pretty sure Ablitt is higher than a 2 pointer, more like 5 lol and someone said Ritchings is a 2.35 now (not checked that myself) so you can't have him either.

It is definitely way more slicker when Glasgow come down! Either that, or not too much dirt to catch Will out whilst he is settling in. -

I see Glasgow had a top temperature of 18c today! Need to swap weather. 11c lower then here π« π« π« . Wonder how the track is going to be after a few days of 27-29c.
