Don't see it doing much for team spirit if Bowen, Bunyan, Tress & new guy have to up a ride each in every match and that only adds up to 6 rides each for the reserves!!

Well I was right for 5 heats that Ippo could pull off the win!! Then they crumbled or crumpled or whatever. Really bad luck for Aaron Fox with his first heat win and then a paid win and then off to hospital with a suspected fractured femur. However later news suggested possibly no broken bones but a very bad gash in his thigh which might require a skin graft. Sounds a bit like Doyley's injury. Glad Hawkins made the trip - 4 last places is good for us (yes he was 3rd in heat 15 but he was the last to finish!!)!! Really surprised that Ellis only picked up 1 point. Are his recent falls catching up with him?

Hawkins will certainly be warmly greeted if he gets there!!

I don't like Barker, but his PL scores are.(most recent first) ........ 12, 10, 12, 14, 14, 12, 14, 14, 8, 13, 10 including any TRs but excluding bonus points, so he probably deserves to be there. Kennett is 14, 7, 9, 13, 14, 12, 13, 11, 13 so not as impressive but probably still better than those below him. Cookie's not having such a good season........... 10, 15, 13, 14, 14, 10, 14, 15, 14, 15, 14 but these include no TRs and don't include his 6 bonus points.

I believe each heat has a grading applied so heat 13 and 15 points are valued hight that heats 2 or 8 for example. I think it's a good system.

No-one's asking you to apologise are they? And yes I am a Monarchs supporter albeit exiled in Essex (not far from Ippo!!). Anyway to get back to the point, my intention (if you read my original post in the thread) was not to belittle Glasgow particularly but to point out that Ippo are actually quite a good team despite some of the results they have had so far. I put them down as having a decent chance of actually winning on Friday. And that to me would be a nightmare situation. I wouldn't say that if Glasgow were about to visit. Yes Edinburgh have had an amazing start to the season but I think there are 2 or 3 teams who have better balanced teams. Glasgow have sympathy because of their injury situation but I don't rate them as strong as Ippo.

That's the cross some of us have to bear!!

I think most of the Ippo team can ride the Dale very well. Just needs the likes of Heeps to get his form back and for Ellis to fill his boots again and we could be in for a surprise. Ippo are not Glasgow!!

I can actually see Ippo winning this one. They are nothing like as bad as is being made out.
