  1. No place for commonsense in British Speedway Unfortunately thats the only rule that never changes.
  2. Sometimes mid-meeting judging by some refereeing decisions.
  3. Just seen on twitter Joe has tweeted he will retire at end of the season. Top racer and top bloke too
  4. Worrall,Cook and Barker or King. Drop Harris and arrange a training day for whole squad at Kings Lynn
  5. In Europe they grade in a clockwise direction,so against the way the riders go. Got to be worth a try surely it cant make it any worst.
  6. The council could just send someone suitably qualified at 7pm
  7. Its a bit like look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves. If i went to a pub for instance which was an advertiser/sponsor for a prematch pint and sandwich and said it was recommended by said club or supporters the landlord can see the benefit. Oh forgot to ask do Berwick Rangers use the same food outlets as The Bandits as i have read alot about the pies and burgers. If the football food is of the same highly recommended standard i can let OUFC supporters know about it through our forum.
  8. Most football grounds remove tops from plastic soft drink or water bottles so you can carry the bottle back to the seat/terrace. Wily old supporters carry a couple of spare bottletops with them.thereby completing the health and safety farcical circle.
  9. Thanks for all the information once i know how many of us are likely to make the trip i shall start the phoning/emailing around. Also would it not be an idea to have a section with this kind of information plus taxis, local pubs etc on this site.i'm thinking along the lines of say "Tims Taxis" who advertise in a club programme so visiting supporters who may have need of a taxi when in the area use a firm who put money into the club.
  10. Anyone able to recommend any decent hotels/guest houses near to the relevent tracks might be popping up for a speedway football speedway trip in july.
  11. Why dont you contact Watchdog with your tale of woe i wouldnt mind betting they have a very thick file on Ticketmasters world leading customer service. You could be the person to bring the w*****s into line and for that everyone who has ever suffered their shoddy service would thank you.
  12. Got my tickets 2 days after i ordered them about a month ago through seetickets.I would only ever use ticketmaster as a last resort. If i was you i would ask for a refund of postage and booking fees for time you have spent trying to get through to them. A lesson for anyone who has a similar problem with any company is if you speak to someone get their name and note the time and duration of the call. Then take them to a small claims court the evidence you provide re calls will very likely win the case.
  13. Teach yourself to do a reasonable impression of an airhorn,,But be careful I got told they would throw me out at Berwick many years ago if they caught me using the one that I didn't have.
  14. Twitterati we all moan on this forum about the lack of coverage of the sport so with less than a week to go could we get the topic title trending
  15. Looks like Toni Kasper on the right deffo Bo Brhel and the other guy could win a Joe Haines lookalike competition
  16. So Starke laid it down to get a rerun, its been going on since team speedway started and it aint going to stop.If one of your teams riders does it its tactical if its the opposition he's the biggest ******* etc in the world I remember all the Coventry fans thinking it was quality when their riders did it against the all conquering CHEETAHS
  17. Obviously we dont know how much rain the track has taken but reports of previous meetings say the track has a few bumps etc.So maybe more prudent to cancel than inexperienced riders falling, reruns etc with such a strict curfew in place.
  18. Says in tbe article on Kents opening in last weeks Star tbat the PA on the bends has to be turned off to prevent potential complaints from some local homeowners.
  19. Commonsense has no place on tbis forum in regard to the rules of tbe sport
  20. Well at least tbe toilets and PA meet all the BSPA requirements. I heard on the grapevine that the BSPA are trying to persuade the millenium stadium to turn the lights off ,flood the floors and hide the toilet rolls in the ladies to give the fans an authentic British speedway experience.
  21. There is a bar outside the stadium doubt they would have the test match on long time since i've been to Prague there is an Irish bar on Old town square that did have sky,and guinness and tia maria as a winter warmer.
  22. BIG FAIL for the Peterborough supposed fountain of knowledge
