  1. I'll work the split out later as I'm at work now, but in total in 1983 home, away and individual/challenge meetings involving Leicester in 1983 comes to 63 meetings. I also note the League season didn't start until May as it was cup competitions/challenges from March until then!
  2. Absolutely, to prove the point I just checked an old 1983 Leicester programme, our last league matches of the season was 23rd October v Belle Vue and there were still another BL fixture on 25th October between Halifax and Cradley.
  3. Perhaps the novelty factor would lead to more interest then? I know that's probably naive but I'm trying to be hopeful...!
  4. Definitely. Great to hear from the Brummies after the meeting too, with a particular shout out to Zagar who managed to drop the f-bomb at least eight times in a 3 minute interview.
  5. Well Nick does like to get to the line as soon as he can! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  6. He looked faster in his last couple of rides. Howarth hasn't scored as well as normal tonight which has hurt us.
  7. Cracking night for Sam Masters tonight, but we can't pull away.
  8. Assumed it was the chain but it rode back OK. Was bizarre.
  9. He's ridden at 2 for the Lions all season until his injury anyway.
  10. There was, but a sprinkle wouldn't have hurt midway through I think. It got so bad the last couple of heats I gave up trying to write in my program, my pen just wouldn't write. I noticed as well that the dirt line got so wide that even Max Fricke couldn't do anything with it in the later heats, like I say it was a shame because the first few heats had some good passing in.
  11. Dust was terrible towards the end of the meeting. Shame because the first few heats had some good racing.
  12. That was hard work. Shows the value of Howarth.
  13. I didn't realise he'd taken 6 rides, so my sympathy is waining now.
  14. "That activity has seen him suffer an aggravation of the injury and he will therefore undergo intensive physio over the coming days, with the expectation that he will return to Lions colours in the home match against Ipswich a week on Monday (August 18)." Given the statement above I'm slightly less critical of him missing tomorrow, as long as that expectation is met, and he's not riding in Poland in the meantime in defiance of the aggravation caused.
  15. If he does I hope he gets a 28 day ban, but it seems like the authorities don't care anymore.
  16. If he does I hope he gets a 28 day ban, but it seems like the authorities don't care anymore.
  17. Kings Lynn need to sign that rider FTG, he almost went through the card tonight according to the updates! So glad they got to show what they can do on a proper track with no "dodgy" refereeing decisions ๐Ÿ˜‰
