  1. I'll attempt to answer that. I believe it has to be down to both. I would also like to add that 2 and a half hours to run a meeting is unnacceptable, but the sun delay (God knows who called the interval, as the rulebook states you can't have an interval before heat 10) didn't help. On top of that, I made it 8 re-runs last night, a couple of which could possibly have been avoided (?) and we had a repair of a air panel in there as well.
  2. Lewi Kerr will be at number one. R/R will (i'm guessing) be at number two. Steve W at 3? Christian at 4? It'll be close over the two legs (which, for some bizarre reason are nearly a month apart) and the 1st leg will be made harder by the absence of Anton. Ludvig and Christian (and the two reserves) can take the rides of Anton.
  3. You know as much as I do! Meanwhile, the forecast has changed again, now saying "light rain" from 3 and "light showers" between 5 and 7. It'll probably snow, or something!
  4. Thankfully, the weather forecast has improved dramatically and now no rain forecast. Roll on 6.30pm!
  5. Updates will be available here on the Newcastle Speedway website. You have to register first, but it is easy and straightforward: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/live/
  6. I could end up with 'egg on my face' by saying this, but I think we are going to Scunthorpe at the right time, as they are still trying to gel and are struggling a little bit. I think we could well come away with something, although what that might be is anyone's guess!!
  7. Is Mark making a comeback??? Looking forward to my usual visit to 'Sunny Scunny' and hopeful we can at least run them close, if not sneak an away victory.
  8. They've put sheets down on the track, so hopefully that will help the cause.
  9. Looked like a decent crowd last night. Track was poor though. Quite why they graded the dirt where nobody was going and watered that bit and left the inside line (rather than at least drag the dirt onto the inside line where the dirt was originally) baffles me, but hey ho.
  10. I think the Top 5 are pretty evenly matched (I know Robbo is likely to be out!!), so a lot could depend on the reserves.
  11. He's been given the all clear to ride this weekend..... http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100371
  12. Begs the question, then, why arrange a challege match on that day when the two teams meet in the LC group just three weeks later?
  13. I presume you mean Mike Watkin (no 's')? As far as I know he is still with us.
  14. Broken heel of his hand. 3 to 4 weeks out although he wants it to be quicker (Info from Berwick Facebook)
  15. Riding order: 1 Stevie W 2 Christian H 3 Lewi K 4 Anton R 5 Ludde L 6 Simon N 7 Lewis R
  16. GRT Media Facebook page. (Auto correct can be a pain, I know!).
  17. Lewi gets a reduction and Stevie doesn't, taking Stevie above Lewi in the team averages.
