Simon was going to guest somewhere tonight (at Edinburgh for Workington, I think) but "pulled out due to signing for Newcastle and riding for them on Friday" so maybe Simon N rides for us tonight? -

Or, like I said, the situation allows him to. -

OK, I'm going to bite.... (call me Luis!) It really depends on the situation. Perhaps Ludde thinks that if he tried to team ride, the chances are both him and his team mate might get overtaken by the opponent(s) behind, so rather than chance that happening, he "rides off" to guarantee the 3 points for the team and hope the said team mate can look after himself for any extra point. Team riding is a dying art form these days, unfortunately, and there are many who can do it. -
Local derby time at Brough Park, as the Banditos come a-calling. Simon Nielsen makes his home debut as a Diamond, after guesting in the past. Weather forecast doesn't look good, hopefully it's completely wrong, as fans need their speedway fix, if they didn't go to Cardiff, after a blank Sunday last week.

Newcastle Verses Sheffield 17/07/14
StevePark replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Lewi Kerr got 9 from 4 (he had 8 from 3 before his last ride). I think (in my opinion, obviously) that is a good score. -

According to the Sheffield Facebook page, Nicki Barrett guests for the Diamonds in place of Schrammy. They are also urging fans to allow extra time for the journey due to roadworks close to Owlerton. -

He's signed in place of the retiring Schrammy. -
Chris Schramm has retired from speedway with immediate effect. The Diamonds have announced that Simon Nielsen will come in as his replacement. Good luck to Chris in the future and thanks for your efforts whilst riding for the Diamonds. Welcome to Simon. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100291

Newcastle Verses Sheffield 17/07/14

There is a rider waiting in the wings, who has just been dropped. I'd be astounded if George hasn't been in touch with him already, if Schrammy is going to be out for a while yet. -

Yes to both, but I don't know if we can redeclare for this Thurdsay (although Ben Wilson has been declared in Sheffs team for Thursday). We'd have to be quick to get Simon in for Thurs., if that is what George and his co-promoters have in mind. Edit: 48 hours before a meeting, springs to mind for any changes, but I'm sure someone will correct me if that is incorrect. -

Simon is more than welcome at Newcastle... -
Plymouth have dropped Adam Roynon and Roland Benko. In come James Wright and James Shanes. I know little about James Shanes. Will he do the business, or is it too soon for a PL spot?

Adam Roynon now available..... and Roland Benko...... -
Porbably to do with the bandwith, but I'm sure someone will give the ultimate reason.

He certainly likes Newcastle. I was talking to him in the pits during the meeting last Sunday and he couldn't explain how his Sheffield average was below that of his BP average! He loves that track at Sheffield too, by the way! -

Not quite true, although I'm no expert by any means, but, although track prep might have something to do with it, the banking has been dropped slightly and that's why you don't get the same sweeping around the outside of 3 and 4 like you used to. -

Yes, but he was in the main body of the team on a 3pt average, the same as any doubling up/down 'Fast Track' rider, which, I guess, was Newcastle's argument? -
David Bargh and Mark Thorpe?
