The following riders all rode for Middlesbrough in 1987 in official matches (sorry, but it doesn't include guests!):- Martin Dixon, Mark Fiora, Steve Wilcock, Ian Atkinson, Peter McNamara, Ashley Norton, Andrew Buck, Mark Burrows, Geoff Pusey, David Holiday and Tracy Bray. Good idea, in principle, but we want to reduce costs, not increase them. As for video evidence, not all tracks are covered by a DVD company (at least they weren't in 2012). I'll probably get 'shot down' for this, but a reduction in the team points to somewhere between 38 and 40 will help in reducing costs. Once things (financially) have settled down a bit, that can always be increased. 3pt British rider must be named in every team at the start of the season. Agree with Play-offs (but not for the league title). Go back to the Young Shield type end of season trophy (IF there's time!) for the Top 8.

I have no idea (and last I spoke to Rene, neither had he). All I was doing was telling Pablo133 the averages for the riders he named in his post.

Robbo 7.86, Rene 7.93, Ludvig 6.84, Claes 6.20, Richie 5.78. Stevie 4.03 = 38.64. Assuming it's still 42.5 points limit, that leave 3.86 for the final place. Christian finished on 6.84.

Richie's starting average will be 5.78 (with a reduction if rules alllow?), so the chances of him becoming number 1 are remote (providing they keep the rolling averages).

Aye. Don't give Newcastle any credit for adapting to the conditions better than Ipswich, or riding better (or anything). Great team performance by the Diamonds. Scoring points when it mattered. Not over yet, though, as it often has a habit of biting you on the bum when you least expect it. But it goes a long way in helping the cause of lifting some silverware and it would be a traversty if we didn't get anything out of the season.

Paul isn't listed in the I.O.W team to travel to Stoke on Sunday on the Stoke website. Fantastic gesture by the Islanders releasing him to ride for us.

Young lad is called Archie Freeman. He's 7 years old. Yes, he's part of the Dave Rowland training school and has been encouraged by all the Diamonds riders throughout this season. He is going to start racing next year at his age level. Unfortunatley the piece might not be available as it was part of the Sports section.

I think Paul Starke will be guesting on Saturday at Ipswich, but the Isle of Wight are at Stoke on Sunday, so I don't think he'll be guesting in the 2nd leg for us.

Not quite true. 2nd leg abandoned after 9 heats - 3 races short of the 'result stands'. Whilst I have simpathy for Workington, if they couldn't (for whatever reason) re-arrange for a second attempt at completing the fixture, Ipswich were ahead at the time of the stoppage and rightly go through to the final.

Last day of the season is Wed 31 Oct.

Ones that are washed out (1 day, limited over, T20 etc.). Yes, there is a points system in place, but they aren't rearranged and played at a later date.
