  1. So, a similar situation then, if not as bad as it is, still bad?
  2. I thought that the whole idea of having NDL matches at the weekend was due to rider availability, as a lot of the NDL riders are still at school so Sat/Sun fits in better.
  3. Race nights (prob don't want to race Monday/Thursday)? No local league derbies (nearest opposition Belle Vue, hardly "local")? Happy where they are? Could be a host of reasons. They still have to build a team to whatever the points limit is, no matter what league they are in and it's getting the right riders in, not just the "superstars". Just 'cos they (allegedly) have the cash to throw at it, doesn't mean to say they have to be in the "top" league, racing against teams nowhere near (location wise) costing the fans an absolute fortune to travel away to the same tracks twice. Also they would (probably) increase the admission for home meetings, to see, near enough, the same riders they are seeing now. I think I'd be trusting the promotion on knowing what they are doing, on and off track.
  4. I trust it's not David....... (one for the teenagers!!)!!

  6. I hope this works.... https://www.facebook.com/reel/545248225124876/?s=single_unit&__cft__[0]=AZXNB_GZCRss0SvbkZkFOocWF01FE-sf4LEq35EfTum7EtnGxo0HvdahsdLG_jiLjd_9ax7zvaRHbKjChfvgUUxLNJsJPBb5FilNXw7ZDN5H8E1hlevjsXp2nlodoomvAX2NuEePc8SZIzmenBlyJy982dkZ7Ig519GSuaZE-2oZ5UgUBH0fjgGiZOh6hniAnb0&__tn__=H-R
  7. Will he still be in the Tigers NDL team, or is he replaced in that as well?
  8. Poole were at Edinburgh last night, so Berwick racing against Poole tonight makes sense to me.
  9. BSPL Website: "Scorpions are unchanged from last week’s home victory, as they head to the venue where they clinched the KO Cup in 2023." POOLE: Richard Lawson, Tobias Thomsen, Anders Rowe, Lewis Kerr, Zach Cook, Paul Starke, Darryl Ritchings. SCUNTHORPE: Steve Worrall, Luke Harrison, Simon Lambert, Connor Mountain, Jake Allen, Declan Kennedy, Zaine Kennedy.
  10. Only if Glasgow ran on an "off night". Would they be prepared to do that three times in a season?? Also, if they all did a Northern Tour, as suggested above, in one weekend, they would, obviously, only have 5 away League matches to race in the rest of the season!!
  11. You didn't say that though did you? Even if they are travelling "in the their tens" they are still travelling. Oh, and thanks for the pleasantry name-calling. Sums you up more than it does me.
  12. Depends where they are going to!!! If the meeting finishes at around 5pm You're looking at 11pm to Oxford or midnight back to Poole or Plymouth and that's after you've set off at 7am or 8am, to get to the track for 2pm!!!

  14. Rory Schlein rode in the British Champs, so why not?? I'm guessing he's riding on a British licence OR he has a "dual" passport???
  15. That's total rubbish. Very few of my just over 5,000 posts have been "moaning" about Berwick or "Mr. Barrie". My "observations" are not all negative about Berwick. Re-read my previous post where I praise previous and the current promotions. The only thing you are correct about is I go to Redcar by choice. That's my personal choice. And when I get the chance, I will head across to the West Coast to go to a Workington meeting.
  16. IF I had the money I would try to revive the Diamonds. But it ain't that easy, even if I did have the cash to do so. Finding somewhere to race seems to be a no go anyway, so it probably won't happen. My opinion on the Berwick track is just that, an opinion. This is an open forum for discussion. As I've said in an earlier post, good on all the previous promotions and the current one for keeping it going. And, just to clarify, it was an observation, not a "moan" and was directed at the track, not Berwick as a whole.
  17. Yes indeed and well done to the Berwick promotion, both old and current for keeping it running, good on them.... just saying the racing is not my "cup of tea" and I prefer going down to Redcar for my speedway "fix" (they've got a free car park too!! LOL).
  18. It's called having an opinion. Mine just so happens to be I've never really been entertained by the racing at Shielfield Park. At least I saw genuine overtakes at Brough. Just wish I could still do so, but sadly it will probably never be.
  19. It's Berwick..... it can't get any duller......
