  1. There are number One riders out there that can guest, but Plymouth choose to use lesser riders at number one, that to me is "cheating the public". Perthaps I'm "constantly preaching negativity" on the Forum because the sport is going down the pan and clubs are consistently allowing it to happen, rather than try to do something about it. As for the "sport will soon be gone" see above.
  2. Jody Scott is now in the main body of the team (from 1st Aug) with a GSA of 4.50. Trigger (GSA 3.34) guests for Mulford (the SGP2 rider you allude to) who is now at reserve (GSA 4.43).
  3. Copied and pasted off BSPL website report of meeting: POOLE defeated Oxford 48-42 in a controversial finish to a thrilling Cab Direct Championship clash at Wimborne Road. Pirates No.1 Richard Lawson completed a 15-point maximum in Heat 15 as the leaders maintained their unbeaten home record in the league, having been given a tough test by the Cheetahs. The visitors were left fuming, however, with the events of the final race which was initially stopped due to a malfunction with the starting tapes only for the re-run to go against them. Lawson was backed up by skipper Zach Cook with 10+1 and Lewis Kerr on 10, whilst reserve Francis Gusts scored 12 from six rides for Oxford and Sam Masters scored 10+1. Lawson said: “Tonight was very tough. I think that has been the hardest match so far this season. We had to work hard for it. “It was one of those meetings that I knew was going to go down to Heat 15 and it was just that. They ran us close, but we got the win. “They outgated me in the initial run but in the second one Sam made a really good one and I just had to battle into that first turn and fortunately I got around.” Cheetahs manager Peter Schroeck said: “The ending of that meeting was diabolical, to be honest. “In the final race, there was no consistency. We were on a 5-1 in the first staging – and Sam and Francis knew what they needed to do. “That was stopped because of the problem with the starting tapes. But then have the same problem in the re-run and yet let the race continue – I have no words. It robbed us of a draw and taking the race to a Super Heat.” OFFICIAL REFEREE SCORECARD Available here
  4. Except when it comes to another club calling and wanting him to sign for them mid-season and asks his then current club (where he was captain) to release him. Yeah, very "selfless".
  5. Normally they only get a drink and maybe an orange....... 😁
  6. Just make the rule that heat 15 is between the top 2 scorers on the night, then there is no arguments.
  7. Obviously. We at Newcastle tried to predict if a change was likely to happen and be near the team managers before the riders were sent out so they could tell us. Also we would look at the riders going out to make sure no changes had been made without our knowledge.
  8. Don't know if the ruling has changed, but certainly upto and including 2022 the Pits Marshal could do it as well.
  9. According to the BSPL website (2025 averages): Starke: Home 4.90 - Away 4.90 - Overall 4.73 Foord: Home 5.60 - Away 3.50 - Overall 4.87. GSA's: Starke 4.00 - Foord 3.65.
  10. The club have already stated that they will bring everyone up to date when they "are allowed to do so", which I presume means that someone, somewhere has put a block on them saying what the actual situation is.
  11. Poland (according to BSPL Website Preview)
  12. Yes. Says so in the Press Release.
  13. Can someone explain how the ACU Flat Track Championship Rounds were run at the track this weekend, if the track owners/company has been "dissolved" ??
  14. Don Lindbergh.... Ian Thomas had him at Newcastle in 1977 too.
  15. If it is financial (I'm NOT saying it is) then surely it's best for BSPL/Workington Speedway to come out and say it, then people might be able to help financially to clear the problems?? Once again speedway doesn't help itself with all this "cloak and daggers" type of announcements. Whatever the problem(s?) is/are, I hope it can be sorted and I will still get my visit to Northside in the future.
  16. That would be an NDL 2.00 rider, then. Unless they've changed the rules, if you sack a rider you can't use guests of similar ability (unless the sacked rider is also a 2.00 rider in the NDL of course!), you can only do that if the rider is "withholding his services".
