  1. That's two league matches, which they arranged to get them in before the cut-off. We are running against Redcar in the league on Sunday - before the cut-off, as I'm pretty sure the BSPA/SCB (whichever!) wanted to happen. Why run a Cup Final six weeks before the season has ended "just to get it in" as a Double Header, when it's been proven in the past at Newcastle, Double Headers are a money loss, as described by Arthur Cross above - and we can have another meeting to look forward to?
  2. Some might suggest we run a Double Header that day then......
  3. I've got heats 1-13 (except heat 5) if that helps! heat 1 63.7. heat 2 64.5. heat 3 64.4. heat 4 65.3. heat 6 65.4. heat 7 65.0. heat 8 64.9. heat 9 65.0. heat 10 64.7. heat 11 64.6. heat 12 64.7. heat 13 64.9.
  4. Please note earlier start time of 7pm. This is due to predicted bad weather for later in the night.
  5. We don't get ANY of the bar takings. What increased takings at the track shop ( a few extra cups of tea?). Would get more neutral fans wanting to pay £17 for a cup final, than say £30 for a double header including a meeting they have no interest in (in my opinion). It makes no sense whatsoever (again, in my opinion).
  6. One set of fans from both clubs and two lots of points money to pay out, though.
  7. TBH I'd much rather have all the finals at the end of the season - apart from the Shield - rather like they do in footy (League Cup Final March-ish, FA & Euro Cups right at the end) as it should make for an exiting end to the season. Having said that, all the gaps (racing every fortnight) up until July wasn't the brightest idea in my opinion. I blame the fixture compilers
  8. Redcar vs Eastbourne Semi is this Fri & Sat (weather permitting!)
  9. Which is why I posted the Tweet from Sheffield saying same yesterday !
  10. Depends when they can arrange the Cup Final for. It will then be arranged around that.
  11. But not last night (don't know how many others you've missed recently) His home points recently and the fact he was on the pace last night suggests yes he is.
  12. One of which got injured (when chasing the leader) and had to withdraw, so that's damned harsh on Matty. Danny was on the pace in all his rides and was chasing hard when he came off in his second ride. But, clearly, you have an axe to grind when it comes to Danny (and Lasse), so would expect nothing less.
  13. Usual away performance from the Diamonds. At least Stevie and Thomas were somewhere near where they should be. Hope Matty W is OK.
  14. And now David Wallinger (remember him? The rider who wanted to leave Plymouth and sign for Redcar, but was stopped from doing so by the authorities?) has been dropped by Plymouth!
  15. Glasgow away sorted. Tues 10th Sept (7.30pm)
