  1. Only they'll (the promotion and the rider) will know that.
  2. Rob G has put this on Facebook: "I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned out for the talk in last night, it was a great night and a pleasure to see you all again. We intend on announcing 2 more riders early next week and then hopefully we will be in a position to announce the final 3 at the Christmas party at the PTE Club on the 20th of December. Get your tickets bought folks and i look forward to seeing you all there".
  3. Needs a visa sponsorship thingy, which we don't have.
  4. They are still working on the nitty gritty as far as cost is concerned , but they will include all 16 League matches and the KOC match vs Eastbourne (not sure about the 90th Anniv Meeting) Admisssion for the 90th Anniversary meeting will be Adults £10. OAP's £5 and Kids FREE.
  5. So... which part of... (as quoted from THJ's post) "Without this licence the club won't be employing any Americans..." do you not understand???
  6. And just about every season before that. I like Adam, but he should have quit the sport years ago.
  7. According to the Redcar website there will be NO Championship Shield next season. 32 League matches + KOC only (+ Pairs, Fours etc)
  8. Some riders to be announced at the Talk-in at South Gosforth CIU Club on Tuesday (3rd Dec @7pm).
  9. Half way down: "Obviously the next step is putting a team together, and I can assure the supporters that as soon as we get names on contracts, signed and sealed, we will deliver them as soon as possible, but rest assured we're on it right now and the wait won't be long, and it will be competitive!"
  10. Club Statement: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=101060
  11. Far too early for Josh in the Championship. He needs a full season in the NL.
  12. It will probably remain empty until we start to sign riders after the takeover is complete.
  13. Official Club Statement here: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=101059
  14. I think George said Smetana would be a 5 when he had a few laps around Brough last season. He rode in the GP Qualifier up at Glasgow (riding Ludvig Lindgren's bikes) and scored 6points. Pavlic rode for Swindon in 2008, so I would assume he'd come in on a converted average - he finished after 8 meetings with an EL average of 8.32, so would be over 13.
  15. I'd certainly have Alfie back, but I doubt we will be seeing Ludde back. Not too sure about Vissing,
  16. Bjarne will be riding in Poland and I'm surprised anyone would have Lasse in their team for 2020.
  17. When they got to the 'nitty gritty' extra financial implications were then put upon them, which they were not aware of when initially wanting to move up. Their Website says: "HAVING BEEN GRANTED PERMISSION TO PUT ITS CREDENTIALS TO THE SPORTS GENERAL COUNCIL AT THE AGM HELD IN COVENTRY THIS WEEK, THE REQUIREMENT OF NEW AND PREVIOUSLY UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS OF ENTRY; WHICH WOULD HAVE MEANT INCREASED FINANCIAL ASSURANCES AND BONDS HAVING TO BE PAID IMMEDIATELY, MEANT THAT THE PROMOTION HAD NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO WITHDRAW THE APPLICATION ON THE GROUNDS OF THE MEDIUM AND LONG TERM FINANCIAL SECURITY OF THE CLUB."
  18. Because Plymouth have said that the extra financial implications meant they couldn't move up, I don't think that will happen.
  19. So teams in the North wouldn't meet teams in the South (in the league) and have home and away three times (15 home and 15 away matches)? Then fans would complain that they'd only seen five different teams in the league!! I reckon they've (just about) got it right the way they've done it.
  20. Often spannered for Ully last season and even if he wasn't was still supporting him in the pits.
