Ok, well he should be at Eastie then. -

I did mean 'honorable ' to Richard, although I'd prefer to see him Saturday at Arlington, I'm sure he'd rather be at a play off semi, although maybe he'd rather be at Eastie if they're already 20 behind. -

I'll be pleased if he rides for Eastie on Saturday but think its evens Ipswich, 2/1 Eastie at the moment. -

I think the rule book should be adhered to otherwise as said no point in having one, but I'm sure Eastie would and should have done the honorable thing for Lawson and let him ride for Ipswich, but at least it would have been their decision within the rules laid out. -

Don't think you read all my post, I said he should ride for Ipswich , just the arrogant way it's perceived to be done. -

Think you'll find in the mind of a premiership boss, opinion and statement of fact are actually the same thing! -

Firstly I think the rule book should be adhered to, we already have unwritten rules that may or may not be implemented at the whim of the bspa. At that point because of his service to Eastie this season allow Lawson to ride for Ipswich at Easties discretion for his sake subject to a guest facility. Lawson gets to ride in an important match and Eastie come out with some credit. What really grates is the nonchalant way the bspa and premiership clubs walk over lower league clubs and their fans almost enjoying it in the process. -
I think you'll find it's an unwritten rule which may or may not be implemented depending on wind direction.

With the forecast not looking good for the weekend even now, reckon Eastie will move the last meeting back to October 5th which will get over the Lawson problem if the Ipswich match goes ahead. Have to agree, one way or another the Birmingham fixture should have been completed before the cut off, and again it just shows the bspa will sh** on the lower leagues without a second thought for race nights and affecting potential big crowds.

Thanks everyone, I never realised there had been so many, and so many closed.
-
As a matter of interest, I obviously know the one at Arlington, but have there many over the years at other places?
-
Many thanks, assume they're not going anywhere soon then as hoped.
-
Ian Jordan is the commercial manager, don't think that will change? (Hopefully)
-
Shame they took the old one out a few years ago, always thought it was a mistake, although was getting a bit tired.
-
Think Kyle will be at Eastie again next year to be honest, improved over the season and liked by the fans.
-
Have to echo the messages with the people who went, it was a hard fought match completed in the right spirit with 2 sets of friendly fans. What can you say about Scott Nicholls, as said his 2 passes were top draw and much the same he was doing for us 10 years ago. As with last week's match think the team did all they could against the best teams in the league with the riders they had available and kept it possible to win on the night up to heat 14. Great racing, probably the only meeting I've been to that we've lost at home that I haven't come away in a sulk as the overall result was never likely to be in dought, but speedway was the winner. Good learning year for Eastie, one final and a semi final, up and on for next year. Dan Spiller was on the mike last night, seems he's likely to be included next season no matter the format.
-
Yes Eastie are not in the BSPA clique like a number of other clubs and the unwritten rule has been applied.
-
I hope you're right, but think they'll be a queue unfortunately, he's certainly been the most impressive away rider this year. Still think of the excitement Kelly Moran generated every meeting, possibly my best memories at Arlington.
-
If you count the Spillers as British, 7 again I reckon .
-
We have quite often been a 4 man team this season, so who knows!
-
I would say unbelievable, but unfortunately it's totally believable. Whatever happens to Easties season, and there is still a chance of a trophy (or 2) as a new promotion and some what enforced, they should be congratulated on fielding a team full of British riders all season dispite some changes enforced or otherwise , even now if approved. Hopefully another start of a Dugard, Norris, Barker type era, not everybody's cup of tea, but they were successful for a few years when the elite was elite, be great to see Brennen and Brooks at 1 and 5 in a few years time.

Martin Dugard sprint ? Don't think he could do that when he was riding, not much chance now! -
