Latest Update From Oak Tree Arena

That's because you've pitched it wrongly. I would say its more like 2hrs of socialising with friends and a great way to spend an evening (especially at the Oak Tree with its good food and facilities). -
Middleditch Must Go - New Gb Boss Needed
Pirate Nick replied to John Leslie's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
He's a very good motivator. One example that springs to mind was KK at Cov in the KO cup last year. 1st 2 rides 1,1+1 and having a bit of a mare. Middlo took him to one side and had a chat and his next 3 rides were3,1+1,3. -

Nobody accepts any responsibility for their actions any more . Watched a programme the other day where a bloke sued a hotel succesfully because he slipped on the snow in their car par!! He even (keeping a straight face mind you) stated to the camera that they hadnt even put any warning signs out!! ITS THE *******ING WHITE STUFF ON THE FLOOR!!! Not in anyway condoning his behaviour, but some of you do seem to be a bit out of touch. I suggest that you only have to nip into any city centre on a Saturday night to see how a 20yr old behaves on a night out with his mates. Its got so bad in Bournemouth now that er indoors and I avoid the place like the plague. Parents these days might like to think they know what their kids are up to when they leave the house but do they really? Have had several chats with my 2 little darlings (16 boy & 23 girl) warning of the dangers of drugs etc, but thats all I can do really. Other than that its fingers crossed and look out for any tell tell signs. We would all like to stand up on here with the holier than thou attitude of my kids wouldnt dream of acting like that but ultimately we can only hope unless you are going to keep them locked up 24/7 or follow them everywhere they go. -

Confirmed 2013 Gp Riders!
Pirate Nick replied to Hunty's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think some of the criticism aimed at Tai in this thread is a bit uncalled for. It wasn't his decision to get a wild card, he's been offered it and accepted, and who can blame him. I don't agree with the inclusion of a Brit for the sake of it but its not our decision it rests with BSI who obviously think there must be a Brit in the series. If anyone can name a better British rider then go ahead, but I think you'll struggle to find one. -
Adam Ellis To Which Pl Club ?
Pirate Nick replied to EC Rides Again's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm sure the other promoters would be welcome at all the meetings that Vatch & Phil attend with our youngsters. The talent has been on display all year, trouble is our promoters, with one or two exceptions aren't interested in that level of speedway. -

Starman is entitled to his opinion and entitled to post it. If you don't like what he posts why not put him on ignore rather than insult the bloke. -

I've been there this season and last season and in my opinion its a cracking track to visit. Nice stand, great fans, tea and biscuits to die for and a nice club for afters. The racing has always been good when I've been there so I think youv'e been misinformed (I'll collect my fee on Wednesday,Tsunami, cash no cheques ). -
Interestingly today, Vettel was given a drive through for forcing Alonso off the track. The relevant rule says that when defending a lead you must leave a cars width between you and the edge of the track ie room to race. Putting aside any bias against any particular rider would this work in speedway (a bikes width before anyone points out they dont race cars)?
