  1. Obviously not arrogant enough to assume he would be offered that place and waited until they offered it and turned it down.
  2. Saw him for what will be the last time for me (unless he does a farewell meeting) at Glasgow last weekend. A pleasure to watch him screaming round the banking, leg trailing out the back. Riders like him a few and far between, treasure the memories.
  3. 3 day tour with the Rebels boys and girl. Great fun and I'd thoroughly recommend it. Some great racing and met some new friends. Tired now though at services on M42 good job I've no work tomorrow.
  4. Hard but fair is where you pass a guy but leave him room to race, not deliberately stuff him into the fence (which is why he was excluded) the boy needs an attitude check. I do agree about Joey though, there were one or two I thought should have been all four back.
  5. His engine is fine Mike, the picture I sent showed his knackered frame after his rear chain came off.
  6. Ha, ha completely wrong. Great performance from the rebels who looked like winning before the unfortunate withdrawal of Kozza and Barrett. Full marks to the track staff for getting the meeting on and full marks to the promotion for laying food on in the Black and Gold after the meeting. There's a few promotions could learn a lot from Berwick. Nice to meet up with Halifaxtiger and spittalbandit.
  7. What's the weather like down there (it's hissing down in edinburgh)?
  8. Looking at the weather radar the band of rain over you at the moment should clear in about 3/4 hour and then there are clear skies.
  9. Would have been a better match if it wasn't scheduled when half the Aussie team are riding for their prem teams.
  10. 18B.4 PREMIER LEAGUE PLAY-OFFS 18B.4.1 All Standard League Meeting Regulations are applicable. 18B.4.2 These Play-Offs will consist of 2 groups; one will incorporate the top 6 Teams from the Final League Table to determine the League Championship. 18B.4.3 The highest placed Team will have the 1st choice of Teams (but not the 2nd highest place) to join them in a Mini-League of 3 Teams, with the 2nd highest placed Team having the next choice and then alternating to achieve 2 Mini- leagues of 3 Teams each. 18B.4.4 Meetings are held on a home and away basis. 18B.4.5 The top Team in each Mini-League shall qualify for the Finals
  11. Well at least Stefan stands a chance of coming through the meeting unscathed then.
  12. Had a text this morning, Kyle is fine, a bit of whiplash and some stitches under his chin, will need a couple of days rest but will be ok for next Friday.
  13. At the moment the forecast is for glorious sunshine all day Friday.
  14. With the current crop of riders that would be one hell of a punch!
  15. Sadly not also bear in mind that the Wildcats were only getting 100 or so every week including holidaymakers. I dont think many of them have been making the trip up on a Wednesday. as I said I don't think its a viable proposition unless you own the stadium. bear in mind Poole only get the gate money, no car park or food and drink. ps Don't half miss Weymouth, great little track.
  16. 2 seasons actually and thoroughly enjoyable they were too. Unfortunatly people just couldnt afford 2 meetings a week and it was losing money hand over fist. It might worth a go now that there are so few elite fixtures but I really don't think its a viable proposition unless you own your own stadium or have bottomless pockets.
  17. In most cases riders at Poole do get a fair crack of the whip. However if they don't perform the promotion is ruthless and rightly so in my opinion (how many fans on here screaming for team changes and nothing happening)?. This year I felt Kyle was hard done by but was more a victim of circumstances rather than form issues. I was disappointed he went but I'm certain he will be part of Poole's plans for the future.
  18. Unfortunately I don't have any say in team matters. The question was originally bout Poole sponsors sponsoring a Brit at Poole not team selection.
  19. 3 local sponsors that I know of already contribute a substantial amount of money to young Brits. One in particular is very supportive of the youth meetings. I myself sponsor Kyle Newman although that's mainly because his sister makes great cup cakes You'd be surprised how much support there is for the youngsters at Poole.
  20. Lucky boy, it's an impressive piece of kit. Have to say I was quite impressed with the lad on his first visit.
  21. Well, if the size of his van is anything to go by he should be brilliant
