Teams Making The Move Up
Pirate Nick replied to muirspud's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Doubt that Somerset would make the move, they have a good set up there and have just won the PL title. Why would they want to increase their outgoings by 2/3 with no guarantee of Sky money or increased attendance? -
3 if British partriality, 5 if not.

Track was checked this morning and apart from puddle on straight was in good condition (puddle being pumped off). Met check says showers but all clear after 6pm. Website posted meeting still on because it is still on, whats so amusing about that? -

Bears Vs Rebels 03/09/13 7:30pm
Pirate Nick replied to Willowman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Are there any updates for this meeting? -
A cynic would say that Edinburgh booked the last Friday in the month knowing that Somerset can't run at weekend and only leaving Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to run, for which they have to get permission from the council. Maybe hoping for rain and the title to be awarded on one legs results. Maybe Garry shouldn't have signed Wrighty and trounced them in the cup final. Well you may think that, I couldn't possibly comment

No, really, Listen By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. However by about midday he got bored with doing nothing and sayeth unto himself "what can I create to top the last six days"? And so it came to pass that Wimborne Rd was created and he saw that it was good. And God said "on this track a mighty team shall ride and they shall be promoted by many men, but these men are all forerunners for the one that shall be known as the trophy bringer and he shall be called Matt of the Ford. 3 Then God blessed Wednesday and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done and watched the mighty Pirates smite all asunder.
