Scunthorpe Vs Poole 11/8/23
foreverblue replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes ridiculous, heat 9 crying out for a tactical -
if guests have been used in the season for an injured rider then they should be used in the play offs.Replacements should not be allowed during the play offs, any replacements should only be allowed prior to the play offs.

Poole v Oxford 9/8/23 Championship
foreverblue replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole used to be a bit rough with ruts and a bit bouncy, lots used to moan about it, now it is smooth riders prefer it but lots moan about lack of passing but very few tracks have alot of passing unless there are mistakes or mismatches in ability, also I think at this time of year it seems it is difficult to prepare a track that generates much passing, i went to Oxford recently and Poole got hammered but there was very little passing, unusual for Oxford you might say. I think later in the year when we get to the play offs you will see better racing at Poole than we have recently. -
Cant see Sheffield dropping Howarth, Ellis average is so low now, cant see him being dropped, Kerr is a bit up and down at the moment so maybe could be him
-
Not unless they drop at least one other rider which i cant see happening.

The new Leicester signings don't seem to be working!! -
Bomber as is, still a very good rider in this country, not surprised he only got 4 points for Peterbough, probably wants to lower his average for next season.who thought Batch was a good replacement for Morris, its laughable.
-
So you would rather have Worrall than Bomber!
-
It seems some do! Personally i think coming in to a team after the play offs have started should not happen but changing your team during the season is fine and I dont see why there should be any restrictions on that as long as its within the averages.
-
Around Leicester maybe but away Bomber is better
-
Dan Thompson had to go, he is riding better now but he wasnt so had to go so did Batch but is Cook any better,Richie is nowhere near Harris so agree Batch had to go but the replacements are not any improvement in my view
-
Not many double figures, if his performances are good why was he sacked?
-
Although he loves to ride Peterbough track, his local track is Leicester since the demise of Coventry and they have a chance of glory this season but he wasnt getting great scores at Leicester so fully understand the decision as he should. Harris is a nice guy but if you are not scoring like you should then you have to expect the sack.

This looks so bad for speedway, no wonder fans dont turn up. -
I expect cheering tonight if Tai takes a tumble!

That just shows because of the wording of the rule it was allowed which i think someone said has now been changed. The rule book has so many holes in it and ambiguity its crazy. No wonder a lawyer didnt have any problem getting it allowed but to allow a replacement just for the play offs is wrong and Lambert didnt ride at Ipswich they had a guest .
