Yes I agree there, Lawson is not a gating tart in my opinion, he is a good gater but when he doesn't gate he gives it everything to try to pass and more often than not makes that pass. King is another one who is a great gater but doesn't give up if he doesn't gate, part of why I wanted him back. There are some riders who don't bother if they don't gate.

There are as many adverts in a Speedway programme as the football one I buy. Most Speedway content can be found on line too, I buy a Speedway programme mainly as it helps the club I buy a football programme for the content, I know it makes little or no difference in the football clubs revenue.
-
That is true, I always buy a programme personally as I know it helps the club
-
I wish we had Hume back at Poole but not too concerned that we didn't get Complin although he is an exciting rider usually and probably worth his current average.
-
I don't think football teams are turning away from a physical programme, the Premier league team I support certainly have a programme and has alot more in it than a Speedway programme and is 3.50 which compared to the 3.00 for a Speedway programme is a bargain considering how much information is in it.

He's not the only one annoyed by the decision!!
-
Yes one would imagine Kerr was a priority for Sheffield on his average, he could add at least a point to that and he was very good in the playoffs.
-
Someone is saying that Holder won't be a Panther next season. Is he right?
-
Oh ok.
-
Where has it been said Chris Holder is not riding for Peterborough?
-
Yes I have been there on some of those occasions and sometimes found his way to be a little arrogant but It is probably just his way and my interpretation of it. He is a completely different character to Danny King.
-
Ok Steve, thanks for that, looks like i have misjudged him. I haven't spoken to him myself.
-
That explains it, good mates with Matt, Danny King never stood a chance of being retained over Steve Worrall.
-
When his brother rode for us and I know it is banter really but he always seemed to put Richie down which I thought was arrogant and wasn't particularly nice
-
Ok fair enough, as you can probably tell I am not Steve Worralls biggest fan, don't really know why but when interviewed comes over as quite arrogant.
-
That is not my opinion , I also think Richard is better with the fans.
-
Not sure why he deserves a testimonial, he has only been a Poole rider for a couple of seasons.
-
I don't think Steve Worrall should be captain, in my opinion Lawson should be , he has a lower average than Worrall but Lawson is the better rider and definitely the better team rider.
-
And his local track so that is good for him and will have more time for the fans.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
foreverblue replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think you have a very strong top four, arguably the strongest in the PL , Sedgman was good for Sheffield last season, in the play offs he was very good, Allen has been going downhill for a couple of seasons so not expecting much from him, no idea what is wrong with Mountain, can only assume he has fell out with someone at Leicester. -
I have been to Leicester quite a few times and in general, I would say, the racing is pretty good. there is always the odd poor meeting at any track, even Peterborough and Belle Vue have poor meetings sometimes. This coming season with them being in the PL racing should be better in theory!
-
I don't have a programme board, never have, but I do buy a programme, filling it in between races with results and race times passes the time in between races, hardly ever look at it after the meeting but I like to think buying one is helping the club in a very small way.
-
I always buy one but maybe in these times it is understandable some don't but I did think the majority bought one but maybe not.
-
They would have said if it was a longer deal, like they said Charles Wright had a two year deal.
-
I disagree with that, all speedway riders know anytime they sign for a team it is likely to only be for one season unless they are signed on a longer deal and that isn't the case with Danny King and Redcar.
