  1. Sounds like good news, they were allowed to compete in Arhletics but not under the Russian flag. Maybe I am wrong and he won't get any unwarranted flak from away fans.
  2. I agree he shouldn't be tarred with the same brush nor should any other Russian sportsperson.
  3. No I agree most should just appreciate his ability and than Chris Louis for getting him, he will certainly improve crowds wherever he goes.
  4. Yes of course and I am sure you are bright enough to realise that if he didn't have Polish citizenship he wouldn't be allowed to compete.
  5. Great signing for. Ipswich but may get a mixed reception elsewhere as he is still Russian even if he is a Polish citizen.
  6. Yes I agree it was caused because he hit Darcy's back wheel. I am probably confusing it with another meeting at Coventry, there have been a few wet nights at Coventry.
  7. The play offs are for the clubs as well and if the league title wasn't on the line less fans would turn up. It is a money spinner and will remain because the clubs can't afford it not to stay.
  8. Well who knows what is said in the pits, it wasn't surprising Batch didn't want to ride and he had a minor crash where he apparently had a hand injury but rode in his next meeting. I assume there was an argument, Chris Holder came out but missed the two minutes on purpose then rode very slowly seemingly to make a point. He is a very approachable Bloke so maybe I will ask him when I see him next although I have no idea when that will be.
  9. We are not riders but this is a forum for opinions so Dave Jones and myself are giving our opinion. As I was there I feel entitled to my opinion.
  10. I would say Batchelor has a reputation for not trying too hard in slightly damp conditions but not seen Noddy do it before, it wasn't anywhere near the conditions when he had his crash at Coventry, the track at Kings Lynn that night didn't look too bad at all.
  11. I think you are right, Middlo saw an opportunity and told his riders to get on with it and I doubt many riders would question him.
  12. Well one of them was his brother! I don't completely blame Chris Holder, I spoke to him at the play offs at Poole and he still vividly remembers his crash at Coventry, like most of us who were there, he said he didn't think he would walk again let alone ride so understandable he had concerns about a slightly dodgy track.
  13. The play offs are not the problem, the rules are the problem and how they are interpreted and implemented.
  14. Oh you would be surprised, you haven't met my father in law!!
  15. Oh grudges can be held for lifetimes let alone a few years.
  16. I am a big fan of Chris Holder, chatted to him at the play off final meeting, my daughter used to a big fan too, probably for different reasons!! I was at that particular meeting at Kings Lynn and if I was a Kings Lynn fan, I would also be appalled and disgusted by their actions that night and I don't blame Buster for being unforgiving especially as all our team didn't seem to have any issues with the track including Jack Holder.
  17. Masters is a top rider but he didn't seem to me to have his best season last year, only the very top riders ride all tracks well and even the gp riders that ride here will have bad nights next season but overall in terms of consistency I don't think there are many better than Masters.
  18. I didn't say it was against the rules or illegal and Poole would have done the same back in the day.
  19. Yes that was before BV brought in Robert Lambert!!
