He certainly rode well last night and he said he thought his bike still had a slight misfire in heat 13, didn't seem to hinder him much! I expect a lot of Glasgow fans will look with interest how Cook and Brennan go tonight. If either of them have a good night tonight they maybe a little bit miffed especially as Brennan is captain.

The track was excellent last night and produced good racing and lots of passing, the trouble some have is that we were doing all the passing! Even Ablitt pulled off a great pass and defended it well.

If Brennan and Cook ride like they did last night it maybe a hard night for Belle Vue.

Captain's shouldn't be picked just ability, experience should be taken in to account. Danny King has bundles of both

They definitely missed him but he wasn't the main issue last night. Basso, Craig Cook and Brennan only got one race win between them.

Maybe not fine but looked raceable and they should at least have had another race before the decision was made.

Absolutely its not the result that is difficult to understand its the scoreline. We just seemed up for it more than them. They seemed to lack fight.

Does he need the extra motivation then, I thought riding at Poole against Poole would be enough. He couldn't get near Danny King last night, not sure he will tonight either.

Well I didn't expect that, every rider was on it from the start. Cook always leaves it too late, I expect better from him tonight.

He has never had a good meeting at Poole, if you have aspirations to be a top rider you have to be able to ride all tracks not just Belle Vue.

It definitely looked like we wanted it more, Ben and Zach were amazing, Ben looked very quick

I expect Ablitt to only meet Bailey once, it isn't a favourite track for Brennan but you never know. Starke rode well before the rain at Glasgow so could be their trump card.

Yes that is true but I feel they rode far better against Edinburgh, it wasn't just the standard of the opposition and whoever they ride against in the final will have a much tougher meeting than the the cup meeting and I am not a negative person just realistic.

I would take the cup result with a pinch of salt, they beat us at home earlier in the season, we may be in slightly better form now but they didn't top the table for no reason, whoever makes the final will find it tough against Leicester.
