Oxford v Poole 20/4/22
foreverblue replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don't think Oxford are a bad team not as good as some maybe at the moment. We will have to see how they perform against other teams before we can really judge. -

Oxford put a good team on track, just beaten by a better team. -

It was a new track for us too, I am sure they have practiced on it more than we had. Any away win is a great result. -

Good meeting last night, good racing too with lots of passing, the Cooks are never at their best at Leicester but they were very poor last night. Fortunately for us Kemp was superb as were King and Lawson but Steve Worrall was off the pace, getting passed by his brother doesn't happen very often but in fairness Richie looked very quick. So a good night and a good point earned.. -

Yes thinking about it, as long as we have one good reserve then we should be ok. -

Lawson is going well but Rory was terrific at Leicester so he will do well to match him, I just feel like the team is a bit top heavy. -

We have hit the ground running as it were, Ablitt won't score too many but I suppose we don't need him to, we will need him to in some meetings though, can't see him lasting the season to be honest. -

I agree on current form but teams change over the course of a season and judging by the way some teams have started I expect many changes. Glasgow are a top team and Basso could make the difference for them. -

I agree it will be tough, Leicester always a tough place to go but we have ridden the track quite well in the past so I am hoping for a good meeting. See you there. -

Don’t think so, I think Glasgow are title favourites. -
Plymouth v Poole KO Cup 1st leg 5/4/22

I feel sorry for him, had some really good meetings at Poole and it's sad for him to get injured again so early in the season. -
Hans is a Pirate legend too and personally have always liked him, he got some stick after 2004 world cup but Sweden would have won anyway in my opinion, still the best meeting I have ever seen at Wimborne Road, he wears his heart on his sleeve and always gives everything.
-
Nah, Hans will be back, not to his best because those days are long gone, he has had many worse crashes than the one at Belle Vue but it takes time to get your confidence back and the older you are the more time it takes. Ulrich maybe might take a while too. You have to be patient, it's early in the season.

King's Lynn v Ipswich. League Cup 7/4/22

So let's hope for a dry summer otherwise you will have a backlog of meetings to run at the end of the season which won't be called off early. -

I think this will be very close and a Sheffield win would not be a shock. -

Haha, r/r would be better, I would think NKI or Lawson. Easy win for Peterborough whoever rides. -

If I buy a ticket for outside terraces does that mean I can't go inside the stadium. -
Ulrich will be ok when he has had a few meetings, he did have a nasty injury, it takes time to come back from that. You are making judgements based on a couple of meetings.
-
I think that you would be pessimistic if you had Zmarzlik and Dudek in your team.

28.03. Aces v Tigers - Northern League Cup
foreverblue replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I feel for you, supporting Man Utd and Belle Vue!! Just as well you have a long memory! -
Well MPT may not be number one for Peterborough at the end of the season as the top 5 all have very similar averages which is how the team is built but I would say when Iversen goes Kings Lynn may have the weakest or wolves. Peterborough's number one is always going to have the lowest average because of the competition within the team.

I think Ulrich will be fine once he gets some meetings under his belt
