What like a couple of mid season signings to take you from also rans to champions! Oh hang on a minute isn't that what Swindon did?
-
Do you, well you didn't have any in the league last season!
-
Because we are not in the Championship yet!
-
That would be terrific , I realise he isn't the rider we all knew and loved but it would be a very fitting way for him to end his career.

Bjarne Pedersen set to retire is news most Pirate fans would view as the end of an era and most would see as sad to hear. He gave amazing service to Poole and always gave his best, his 21 points at Lakeside would forever live in my memory and I really hope he gets a farewell meeting because he fully deserves one.

You could do you are near The Wash! -
Seems a very hasty decision and getting in Wells! and then getting notorious underachiever THJ in to replace Worrall!! as I said at the time we should have got someone on a similar average to Worrall like Josh Auty which would have kept Covatti at reserve.
-
Yes i see that but sacking NBJ and getting Wells in!
-
Ok fair enough thanks for that. I didn't say they didn't have phones etc and i thought wrongly that he was moving father away than France. I do think that Danny will struggle with the media spotlight which is probably another reason why the decision was taken to drop a league. That's my opinion not based on any facts or knowledge of how Poole Speedway works. As you say MF was still the main decision maker, with that in mind, he made some bad team decisions last season which is why i thought he had taken his eye of the ball.
-
That's what i thought so why is Skidder1 saying he didn't. It seems clear to me he left the day to day to Danny last season if MF was only here occasionally.
-
Ok i thought MF spent a lot of time abroad last season and left Danny in charge.
-
He left the day to day with Danny last year didn't he, which it seems didn't work out so well financially.
-
I agree with that financially it makes sense but as a fan it doesn't sit well, we have been so long in the top league it seems sad to me to have to drop out and I think despite all the flak we get we will be missed. I know MF has worked very hard to make the club viable but maybe not being here on a day to day basis and leaving running of the club to his son hasn't worked.
-
It may be sensible financially but dropping down a league is not brilliant, we are the most successful team in the modern era, one bad year and we jack in the top league,i will still go but it won't be the same. Teams in most sports do everything they can to stay in the top league, we just give it up willingly.

Woop woo can't wait!
-
It will be, sad days for the Pirates.

He hasn't walked away, he has the club up for sale but won't walk away until a suitable buyer is found. Ford saved the club when it was on its knees. I am not his biggest fan when it comes to some of the things he has done over the years but it is my view the club would have gone under without him.
-
Poole fans have respect for Ford as if it wasn't for him we would have folded long ago, he bought the club and made it profitable, all of the clubs don't lose money every year, some have but they wouldn't exist if they lost money every year, that is why you have sponsors and if your main sponsor folds and you lose a lot from your expected budget then you have to consider other options. I am sure this decision hasn't been done lightly and i can understand why it has been done.
-
Im sure we all hope that would happen.
-
If only i could believe that i would be happy
-
Nobody was glad that Coventry closed, i remember going there for gp meetings great days and much missed. Personally not happy that we are relegating ourselves, just will not feel the same in a lower league.

Last time i looked we are still in the Premiership.
