Cardiff GP 2025 Cancelled
foreverblue replied to Phil's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What I find a bit strange is to cancel this event when last year was actually pretty good which would encourage more people to go and how do they manage to make it viable in other smaller nations that dont have many or any GP riders. -

I thought the racing last year was good, much better than previous years and it was the whole weekend experience that made it a great occasion. -

Also you dont have to stay in Cardiff, stayed in Caerphilly last time, very reasonable and only a short train journey to Cardiff. -

Is Manchester easier to get to than Cardiff? -
What even with a syrup filling.

I thought he was your new number one.
-
When are Plymouth announcing their NDL team?
-
Running a NDL has never worked at Poole, maybe other clubs can make money from it
-
It isnt just about money, I think there are many reasons why a rider rides for a certain club.
-
Every club should want success. William made his choice on many factors and advised by many people I would imagine.
-
What other club is Middlo involved with then?
-
He is coming to one of the best run clubs in British Speedway and under the guidance of Middlo, who can blame him.
-
They seem to have a particularly strong team next season.
-
I think Redcar have a good chance of winning the title next season.
-
Don't really know why the concern about the number 7, it does not really matter who it is.
-
Agree with all that, as I said previously with the way the team has been built, if Ben wanted to do Championship we could have fitted him in and that would make a massive difference. Kerr is not terrible but he is no Ben Cook, he may improve his average slightly but I don't see him getting to much over 8, Anders will improve his average too but more 7 than 8, Zach definitely has improvement in him and so has Tobias, we will need all of them to improve to win the title.
-
I have a feeling one of the rest may need changing at some point.
-
Jason Garrad?
-
Funnily enough if he had wanted to do Championship we could have had Ben Cook instead of Kerr.
-
I can see more than 1 signing on July 1st. Even with Cairns this team will struggle, they must be saving the 0.96 for someone.
-
No never have been one of the highest payers and we moved down to save money while keeping similar crowd levels.
-
It is a lot on his young shoulders but I expect the hope is that he will be better than Joe Screen.
