  1. Cheers Tom, I reckon LT has a fair chance of qualifying for the Final in Rybnik...Fingers crossed....
  2. Hi Tom, I checked that website before starting this thread, and could not see any details of the meeting....
  3. Has anyone got the line up and results from todays European Under 19 Semi Final in Rovno ? The only riders that I know of in the meeting are Lubos Tomicek & Zdenek Simota I have found the Rovno club's website here, but there are no details of the meeting yet, not even the line up...
  4. But this is a Test Match and doesn't fall into either of those categorys And so ? And so, Garf, little Morten CAN ride for Team DK next Monday, as a Test Match isnt a GP or SWC meeting...
  5. ONE match back after injury, and you are writing Charlie off already, OSN ????
  6. Pugwash Ferjan was asked by slovenian team coach to ride for Slovenian team today but he refused that. So don't blame Slovenia for him not riding. We are using riders that are available, and Ferjan made it clear that he doesn't want to ride for Slovenia anymore. Yes, Tomaz...You will know better than us, as your knowledge of Slovenian speedway is much better than us here in Britain, but I thought Matej Ferjan made it very clear 2 or 3 years ago that he did not want anything to do with Slovenian Speedway when he took out a Hungarian licence ?

  10. Well, if we are not entering, I have to agree with Iris, in that its a short sighted decision... Entering a team would give invaluable international experience to the likes of Jamie Smith, Edward Kennett & Richie Hawkins.... Hopefully, the decision not to enter a team will be reversed, but I wont hold my breath.....
  11. Sadly not, Whacko..... Lubos has had a late call up to tomorrow night's Czech Pairs Final in Mseno, where he will partner Bo Brhel.... Newcastle will operate R/R in his absence tomorrow against Stoke....
  12. Just had a text from Lubos Tomicek : 1, Brhel 2, Rymel 3, Ales Dryml 4, Suchanek 15, Tomicek All the info I have at present
  13. Is there an official list of competing nations already available then ? I certainly havent heard that Team GB wont be competing....
  14. I wish, Brett.... I dropped out Max, Jonsson, and Hans Andersen after Wroclaw...New Squad is as follows : Adams Hancock Bjarne Pedersen Brhel Hampel
  15. JT, One notable admission in the Czech Team - Lubos Tomicek....Surely worth a place ahead of Linhart & Simota ? Dont forget, the riders you mentioned are "only" racing on the continent, while Lubos is riding regularly in the PL here with Newcastle... Plus, we dont yet fully know the rules of this competition....For example, if teams are allowed to use an over age rider in their squads, the same as in international football at Under 21 level, then one of the Drymls is sure to be in the Czech Squad, as the final next year is at Pardubice in Czecho, which is their home track...
  16. Anyone know what happened to Adrian, the Aussie who rode for Somerset in the Conference League a few years ago ?
  17. Ah, you mean Jessy Inauen , Nevsy.... Havent got a clue what he is upto these days though...Running a Butchers Shop perhaps ?
  18. Brett, Me thinks you have my score wrong, Dude.... I had 200 points after Cardiff..... I scored only 39 from Copenhagen (You have me down for 47...).... Overall, you reckon I have 230, but its 239 (200 +39).... At Copenhagen, I scored : Adams - 11 Hancock 18 Bjane 8 Brhel 2 Hampel 0 (Injured) Total : 39 Cheers, Jeff
  19. Yes, Mark was doing a practice start, away from the tapes towards the pits, and didnt notice the tractor, with excavation bucket lowered, heading towards him... Mark hit the bucket with real force, and banged himself up pretty badly...Well, it ended his career, didnt it.....
  20. After his UK career came to a premature end "thanks" to that awful crash at Swindon, Mark returned to his native New Zealand, and the last I heard (maybe two years ago...) was working as an Electrician...
  21. Steve, you make it look as though AJ is an old man, but he is still in his early twenties ! He will be at the forefront of the GP's in years to come, when Trick, Adams, Jason, Max, etc. have retired......
  22. Course Not, Steve..... After all, he has never strapped on the Skull & Crossbones Race-Jacket, and rode for the Whinebore Road crew, so you will never rate him, will you....... Never be world champ or in the top three, eh SS ? We shall see, but I wouldnt bet against it..... Not knocking the Drymls, but Andreas has definitely overtaken those two in the last couple of season's, but you no doubt wont see it or admit to it because....They have rode for Poole....... Of course, should Andreas ever join the Pirates your tune will no doubt change, and AJ will overnight become the best thing since Hovis !
  23. La-La, I really think Tony is just having a year which is just below his normal very high standards.... I am the same age as Tony, and now have a "Craig Boyce / Steve Johnston" um "Hair-Style" due to hair loss, but as far as I know, I am perfectly healthy, and I expect Tony is too...Like the rest of us, Tony is getting a little older, and losing his hair, which is nothing unusual....He should crop it, doesnt get windslept, and you dont look like a drowned rat in heavy rain, and only need a quick polish with Mr. Sheen every day As Wackie said , Tony has been using new frames, or at least experimenting with some, from Penske...There is a letter from a Penske employee in a recent edition of the Speedway Star explaining the project, but I cant remember whether it is this weeks or last weeks edition.....
  24. Tony is doing well in his league racing this year.....Maybe not quite as dominant in the past, but he is still perfoming to a high level, and racking up decent scores... Thing is, Tony has set such high standards for the last few years, what would be seen as a bloody good season for almost anyone else is seen as just "OK" for Tony.... I doubt Tony will win this years Title now, but I wouldnt bet against him winning in 2005...2005 will be a new season, with no mid season upheavel (Leaving Poole...), he will be fresh and no doubt very focused again.... MY guess without looking at the GP Standings is that Tony is currently World Number 5 or 6....Damn Good really, but we are so used to seeing Trick as Number 1 that anything less is taken as a sign that he is on a descent from the very top of world speedway....
  25. anyone know Worky's guest on Saturday night ?
