Marketa Stadium (Prague )
jeffster replied to beercellar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This is NOT true - I confirmed it with sources in Czecho last night... I think maybe your Cabbie got a little confused with his English, as Marketa WAS an Athletics Stadium, until the 1950's, when it was changed to a Speedway Track, which it shall remain for the forseeable future.... -

Cardiff - A Sellout ?
jeffster replied to jeffster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have sent her a few numbers by text, including millenium stadium and several ticket agencies in Cardiff... I reckon she should be able to get a couple........ -
Had a text from a friend earlier, who said that she had tried to get tickets for Cardiff today, but was told the meeting was a sellout.... Surely not.....Be great for British Speedway if the meeting was a sellout, but I cant believe all tickets have been sold....Whats that capacity for Speedway in Cardiff, about 62, 000 ? Anyone got a couple of tickets that they cannot now use ? If so, please let me know via text message on 07736 288167, and I will forward your message on to my mate...

I was really over the moon when he joined Swindon full time , after being our number 8 for a while.... Sadly he never fulfilled his un-doubted potential..... I clearly remember one night at Oxford....Ivan Mauger, then working with Hans Nielsen, was interviewed on the centre green, and said that he thought Andrew would never make it to the top (correct as it happens...)....In the next race, Andrew went out and came from the back to beat Marvyn Cox, which was no mean feat at the time....Ivan took a bit of stick from the Swindon fans immediately after the race... Had a great night at Coventry when Andrew won the 1987 NLRC whilst riding for Arena....He won that nights sweepstake for me.... I am guessing he joined Swindon in 1988 ?

czech trains (help) poland

These pages should do the trick : www.cd.cz- Czech Train Company site ...Trilingual , in Czech, English & German http://idos.datis.cdrail.cz/ConnForm.asp - Timetable site , again trilingual....I have used this site myself, and it is very useful when planning train journeys in Czecho.... Just remember to enter "Praha" as the start point of your journey , NOT "Prague"... http://www.czech-travel-guide.com/default.html - Czech Travel Guide. with lots of useful info.... PS - Hope you are in Prague on May 15th , as that is the date of the GP , not the 16th... -
Anyone got any details on Danny Knakowski, who had some reasonable results in Gustrow & Teterow at the weekend ? Must confess that I had not heard of him before....
