Very disappointing indeed

'Keyham' or 'David' is the administrator on the site so he will be the man to contact. Whilst I don't doubt your post I have a view for optimism myself. Firstly the land is right next to the main line railway, a disused railway, the A38 (dual carriageway into Plymouth) and a pallet yard that seems to go up in smoke a few times a year which does make me think the place is pretty undesirable as a residential area, not impossible though of course. Secondly whilst there has been plenty of talk about a supermarket chain being interested in the land, again I have large doubts about this. The access is poor and you can only access the site off a one way road and in my opinion when you consider parking, the site simply isn't big enough for a major store. Add to that a huge Sainsburys is 100 metres one way and a new Morrisons is opening 200 metres the other way makes me think it would be a poor business decision with all of these factors in mind to build a supermarket. Personally I think the College are simply trying to drive the price up to make as much as possible from the sale but actually the interest isn't that great.

Not sure if it's been noted anywhere but on Twitter today Robert Ksiezak has announced his retirement from the sport. "Would like to thank everyone that has helped me during my years racing in the UK, but the time has come to call it a day. Had a great time!" By all accounts a very nice guy and did OK for us at reserve this year.

Name them? I can only think of Glanz, Reade and I believe Danny Stoneman (although he may well have moved on now) as the only three unless your counting the now retired Mark Simmonds and Seemond Stephens. We have had other riders become assets but the likes of Paul Starke (IOW) have become assets elsewhere now after falling out with your dad. The lease expires in 2014 so your quite right it's two years not one left.

No real surprise if he does end up at Leicester, been a pleasure to see him at the SBA on the few occasions I've managed to get there this year. An absolute genuine racer who you can never take your eyes off whether you love him or hate him. Best of luck to the Fish wherever he ends up!

As far as fisher goes I don't think he was ever likely to return to Plymouth (although I accept if Leicester go el he could double down with us). He has always stated he prefers bigger tracks and therefore I don't see him returning. As for the meeting yesterday well the local rag says there's nothing to see yet so it's more waiting sadly!

I doubt Plymouth will move down. I suspect it will be PL or nothing for us next season.

Decent looking side that and I'm sure would be very tough to beat at Owlerton. Very powerful heat leader trio and a tidy reserve all season after the year the Tigers have had that would be a massive improvement in my opinion. Just one question, no Wells?

Under normal circumstances I and most Plymouth fans would probably agree with what is a well written post, but this situation is anything but normal and had you been through what the fans of the Devils have over the last 6 years you'd probably not have written it in quite the same way.

I'd love to see that stand up in court in a defamation case! 'They keep saying my dads licence has been revoked'. I mean that's obviously libellous and we are all going to be fined. Behave man! Just face facts people don't like your dad and when we here the possibility that he may be out of the sport we are happy. You may not like it but if you think threatening legal action when nobody has actually defamed anyone is going to change matters your wrong. Plus do you actually know how much it costs to bring about a libel case? Thousands and I mean thousands and judging by your dads statements in the press over the past 6 months I doubt he could afford that!

So given that Bowden doesn't own the land, the club has what 2 assets and now there is no promoters licence to be bought from him, what is there to 'sell'? Can the new consortium not just negotiate a new lease and buy a promoters licence directly from the BSPA giving Bowden what he deserves...nothing! On another note Todd Kurtz has posted on Facebook suggesting he has received his pay from Bowden finally, but it wasn't the right amount! (James Holder said similar surprise, surprise)!

It's now been confirmed on the Devils forum, Bowden has indeed lost his licence.

If anyone can shed any light on the actual reason it was kicking off I'd love to hear about it?

Unless I'm missing something Nicki Glanz hasn't been banned for 28 days and still named in the Plymouth 1-7 yet refuses to ride due to a pay dispute. IF I'm right and he hasn't been banned you have to ask yourself why not? Maybe the BSPA know something we don't. I'm hearing that had it not been for the Plymouth Team Manager the riders would've walked so firstly a big well done to him and fair play to the riders. I hope the BSPA do the right thing and ban Bowden from promoting and give his PL holding fee out to the riders for all their bounced cheques. Then we'll see who's had the last laugh!

Indeed I can only echo the thoughts, whilst Bowden's name remains in any way in the club people will always be put off. If he wants his name down as the 'Founder' of the new Devils then fine but that is where it ends as far as I'm concerned. I feel in some respect for some of his family associated with the club because I personally have found some to be fine and those on the gate have always been pleasant. Sadly they have now been tarnished with the same brush. As for the team next year, well if we are running and we are in the PL then of this years team I'd be surprised if any would want to return given the shambles! Barker (surely FT elite) and Fisher (can't see him back in a million years) will move on regardless I would think. As for the rest well if possible Cory on 6.51 is decent value and Kurtz on 4.8 as a reserve would be a solid start. I'd want Glanz back personally but only if it meant Kurtz with him at reserve or someone in that mould. I wouldn't go anywhere near Hawkins, he is on the way down and is only a reserve these days at best. I have a feeling Wells will stay at Sheffield and Nelson probably in Australia. That leaves Ksiezak who I haven't seen enough of to comment that much, he wouldn't be in my 'Dream Team' but maybe at reserve if we can balance the side out nicely.

There will be a queue all the way to Edinburgh and back ready to do the same!

So Holder now moves to reserve with Glanz moving into the main body, so no more guesting for Ben Reade. Given that Nicki wont be riding again for Plymouth this season that leaves 5.94 to replace him with or its R/R for the rest of the season. Anyone know when the new signing deadline is? Got to be around now surely?

Leicester are a bit of a strange one this season for me, they've never struck me as being spectacular and none of their riders have significantly improved their starting averages (granted rolling averages don't tell the full story) but they've plugged away and got results. I felt at the start of the year that like Plymouth they'd be too top heavy but the bottom end have chipped in, not massively but they've done their bit and when that happens and the top end perform like they should, you get the results. Bowden has never built his teams any other way. We could go back to the very first year of NL racing when it was Seemond, Chris Johnson and Lee Smart as the big hitters. He has continued in that mould throughout all of the seasons relying on having a reserve that comes up trumps. He got that with Glanz, Hopwood and Starke in the NL yet we only ever won one trophy! In the PL he has continued in this vein and whilst it's still rumour at the moment, I'm praying that a new promotion come in not only to promote the club in the professional manner that both the fans and the Premier League deserve but also to provide a more balanced team that may be able to challenge for a trophy (or maybe just an away win)!
