I’m not sure what it was based in, but I know the bosses were disappointed at being ignored by the government when grants were handed out.

Is Jordan Palin ready for Championship speedway?
stevebrum replied to DC2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The problem usually is that any Brit in the recent past that showed any resemblance of talent was over hyped. We now have kids coming thru that WANT to ride in Poland as they know that’s exactly where they need to be to progress. Kemp seems to be seen as a talent in Poland, of course he will have to work harder to prove he can mix it with the other young Poles but like I said he has natural talent so certainly has the ability to break big. What the next generation need to do is have a clear pathway thru the leagues, ditch the 2nd tier after 3 seasons and concentrate on the top flight and Europe if they really want to go to another level. None of the youngsters will progress much further by staying in the UK for the majority of their career, hence why we’ve been at an all time low up to the past couple years ago. -
All tracks will be ready for social distancing if required. They’ve had 12 months to be ready.
-
All tracks are ready for it. However I doubt social distance will be enforced after June.
-
I don’t know how professional speedway can be classed as ‘elite’ given that the sport received nothing from the government whilst other sports that ARE elite did. Speedway appears to be classed as semi professional so should be fighting their corner to start earlier with crowds.

They started with 2 surprises that no one saw coming so would be excellent for the last one to be another one. It makes you wonder why the BSPA were so against them joining for the past couple of seasons. They have been a breath of fresh air and excitement to British season for, hopefully, the new season. Some of the more established promotions could learn a thing or two from the Plymouth promotion.

It’s the British way! Reward failure!! Make it harder for winners!!
-
Ah of course, good point.

Kemp IS another that is a big deal. He still upped his average with Sheffield. you clearly have never seen him ride. One of the most natural talents on a bike I’ve ever seen at 15. -
There are other caveats to that, see below for a better explanation.
-
Don’t think any team could run or survive with any percentage reduction, virtually all clubs have a minimum crowd to survive. Doubt any restriction would allow any club to survive.
-
The BSPA have already ruled out steaming without fans as it’s not viable. It was in the SS a couple weeks back. So yes, you are very much correct.

Palin is one of a few riders that looks extremely promising for the UK future. -
They are doing brilliantly so far!
-
Thanks for the explanation both. We know we can’t rely on the BSPA to be clear on rule or procedure.
-
Wolves wouldn’t be last pick, it would be Ipswich who made the PO final surely?
-
Exactly. Some great racing at Mildenhall, Plymouth, Wolves, Redcar.
-
Tom is probably the best pick on the list so happy with that. personally speaking I’d have preferred a Kemp\Palin/Thompson/Brennan for the future. (Yes I’m aware they are assets of other clubs)
-
Glad he has been signed up. One of the youngsters with real talent.
-
Indeed, no mention of this tho on the official site before tho.
-
Not if he starts in Poland tho.
-
So the rumours are true.
-
I’ve seen that posted on other threads so just wondered if it’s the worst typo in history.
-
Still think it depends on the quality of the number one. Not so apparently, Wolves announcing theirs tomorrow at 10am.
-
True, I’m thinking more in the instance where the best team leading up to the play offs lose one of their star men.
