  1. This line is trotted out when ever one of your chosen team falls and a section cheer. It happens at every track without any question yet posters seem to indicate it’s every fan at that particular track which as we know is total nonsense.
  2. Hopefully so, needs to be on our screens more.
  3. And obviously I didn’t agree with your original comment. Sam is a legend without question. (Queue laughing emoji predictably)
  4. Fancy not winning at the track where they haven’t won at home? Oh dear. Well done the Stars, let’s hope it’s the start of improvement.
  5. Sam is vastly experienced and knowledgable about speedway. He is exactly the sort of person we need on our speedway screens. Hopefully he will be back more regular. Great to see him and Jan adding comments tonight. More of the same please. You don’t have to agree btw, the more knowledgable ex riders the better.
  6. What part of that comment don’t you understand?
  7. We need more Sam on Speedway channels.
  8. Apologies, was still looking at the previous GSA. Good point!
  9. Wealth of knowledge and experience. Great to see him and Jan back on TV.
  10. I’ve been several times over the years on the promise of superb racing but in truth have always left disappointed. not one pass past the 2nd bend in 7 heats.
  11. Follow the leader speedway, never understood why this track is highly rated.
  12. No unfortunately not, had some family issues to sort. Hope I can get me and my dad there soon tho.
  13. He hasn’t proven to score well at all in the top flight, there is a reason why he is largely overlooked in the top flight.
  14. Hasn’t done anything in the top flight before. To replace Batchelor?? Most bizarre move if that was to happen and would guarantee bottom spot.
  15. Yes, he is the king of that domain. His scoring was anything but ‘head and shoulders’ last night. Just way too inconsistent in the top flight. Point noted.
  16. Crump clearly isn’t fit enough which is a shame because no one wants to see him struggle like this. Cook really needs to concentrate on the CL.
  17. No doubt we will see if you are right in 20 and 40 years time, if we are lucky enough to still be around of course. Considering it’s an elderly sport yet we are in the best position in many many years to have a great crop of YOUNG riders coming thru. So long as people are interested in taking up the sport (you only have to look at the amateur level to see the amount that take part) to see the sport has a fair credibility for people to try make a living at it. Thank god we have a great youth programme that should ensure the UK leagues have a rich amount of talent coming thru. Sadly the rise of the Polish superpower has seen virtually hardly any top class riders still wanting to ride here which for me has seen many turn away from attending anymore and I can’t say I disagree with them. I either want to watch the best riders in the world or the next generation in the lowest league. We have a barely credible top flight which is why ensuring we look after the next generation is absolutely paramount.
  18. People have been saying the sport has been dying 20 years ago and probably since the 80s. The truth is the sport is still here and continues to struggle on. I’d imagine in 20 years time people will still be saying the sport has never been poorer. I think the assumption that the sport is dying is that one day it won’t be around, I very much doubt that will be the case at all.
  19. People have been saying the sport is dying for 20 years or more. That’s the only point I meant. I certainly wasn’t and am not saying the quality of the sport was just as poor 20 years ago. I’m just sick and tired of people saying the sport is dying a slow death. It will still be around in another 20 years. Read comment above.
  20. Hospital admissions are way below the prediction made by the experts (which shows just how wrong they are) and the NHS is under no increased pressure from Covid. The experts predicted 60,000 daily by now and they are way off the mark. The truth is the variant isn’t a real issue to the UK right now. The sooner we get used to living with this virus the better, it’s going nowhere. So long as hospital admissions don’t start rising at an alarming rate (they aren’t) and deaths don’t start increasing at a rapid rate (they aren’t) then it’s time to start moving forward as a nation. The vaccine is doing its job (as well as killing some too).
