  1. Thank you. As a Brummie I will always have a soft spot for the Brummies (plus I was track staff for 5 seasons also when it reopened) but my team will always be Wolves as you know! im hoping to make a meeting before the season is out to see friends as well. The very fact that Birmingham is the 2nd biggest city it does have a huge advantage over other rural clubs. There are plenty of youngsters as you pointed out that could have been targeted which is really aimed at the sport as a whole and I think what the Masons did in encouraging kids was to be commended. Speedway has never invested in itself and that’s the situation we now find ourselves in as a consequence. Birmingham people just haven’t seemed interested in the sport. Perhaps if it was more successful as a team you might find some glory hunters becoming fans similar to how Villa attract more fans. For Birmingham it’s now too late for help.
  2. The problem with the Brummies is that hardly anyone attends despite a huge target audience. Perhaps you missed the part when I congratulated them on the win. Is that not constructive enough? 🤔
  3. I’ve not seen anything posted about this neither. Anyone?
  4. Again, why would I attend when the Brummies aren’t my team? If you can point me to a post (even from Brummies supporters) that say the team aren’t rubbish then your point might make some sense. But of course you want be able to. League tables don’t lie. Oxford loook awful too. Do you want me to attend there as well? such an odd reply.
  5. Why would I be there cheering them on? Good result for the Brummies, Stars have zero chance of getting a play off place if they can’t win at Brum.
  6. Didn’t expect that result but given Witches are only half a team fit it’s not surprising.
  7. Can’t see the Brummies winning another match but at least they have 7 riders. Just not Premiership level with that line up.
  8. Absolutely. In fairness it’s only certain fans that are comparing the injuries as like for like. laughable really. Stars would have won with Kvech tonight. Aces are no threat in the play unless their rivals have continued bad luck with injuries or they make changes.
  9. Clearly injured as he could barely get thru his last 2 rides Saturday night and obviously pressure put on by his Polish club to ride Sunday. Only a fool would compare his injury to the GP winner but nice to see he is gracing the UK with his presence Monday. Rest up Jan.
  10. Hope Kvech is ok. Let’s see if he is able to ride in Poland on Sunday.
  11. All too easy for the Lions tonight. If only the Aces GP star had bothered to turn up!
  12. Close call in the end. Good effort from the Stars.
  13. Remains to be seen how things are structured for league racing next season. Think British speedway is at that point now with so few teams still running.
  14. It’s not like anyone is surprised he is missing He will ride the GP and Poland tho. That’s a cert. Doyle you could almost say you would expect given he has dislocated his hip TWICE in the last month. Kurtz will be another one soon that thinks he is too big for the UK.
  15. But rode Monday despite clearly struggling. Odd to single out Doyle who always rides if possible,
  16. And no reason why he wouldn’t be able to ride Thursday then.
  17. I can’t find that but I think it was only the one stint.
  18. I’d driven past the stadium at about 8pm but seems I made the right decision again about not stopping to watch the action on a completely dreadfully prepared track. Tolley’s interview was completely barking. All down to track prep despite being absolutely slaughtered and embarrassingly . The Brummies must be happy that he is the only thing keeping the sport in Birmingham alive. Seems a proper speedway fan but he is off his nut in that interview!
  19. Let’s hope Kurtz doesn’t pick his meetings again. 🤐
  20. TNT only cover league matches. They didn’t even give updates or a mention that any other matches were on neither.
  21. Great win for the Brummies. Both had riders missing so no one team penalised more than the other. Aces won’t win much with those reserves. surprised to see Zagar doing so well.
