  1. aaah, thanks for the explanation. To be honest have never applied so i had always assumed that your country issued it. Surely the UK can still say no like other countries that require them? Oz and America tend to be quite tight on them?
  2. Agreed. I cannot believe that some are so niave as to think its just a simple an easy thing to deal with. Having his passport and visa from Oz gives no guarantees he will be allowed in the UK, He could still maintain he has no convictions (from this latest issue at least) but any exploration from any border/passport control will uncover that the incident is on file and could easily choose to refuse entry. Nothing is certain just because Oz have given him his visa.
  3. Because they want the rest!!!! Of course there must be plenty in the know who will speak out and say (like silencergate) that Ward wont be the only one worried if tests are introduced.
  4. Not really a surprise is it. Still sad news. Am i the only the thinks its timed with a due announcement from the Bees as to who will be the new manager?
  5. I take it then you are saying that this is more common place with the riders, bit like silencer gate. Big words.
  6. Just admitted smoking drugs. It is clear from several posts on this subject those who are pro use of recreational use (for an illegal substance), but thankfully in the minority. I am sure there are many who still see Darcy as a perfect role model, which is sad. We are talking about a professional sportsperson taking drugs (one off, supposedly!) in his own time. Maybe if he had injured someone whilst doing a runner (or worse) it would still be condoned because, lets face it, people get knocked over by vehicles all the time. Just when you think the vast majority of speedway folk are decent , well thought out individuals .... well, you live and learn! He wasn't convicted but admits smoking weed and driving away drunk as well. So all is fine i guess. I would imagine the retort will be that i'm a Poole hater or knocker i guess.
  7. No idea what you are trying to imply, but not many id reckon.
  8. Bit like the late night brawl, and the `incident` involving another. How unlucky can one person be. As the paper is standing by what was said Middlo really has to explain in what context it was said. His silence means he knows he said it. He only has to explain to context and we can all move on. Other than that we have to believe that is how he views kids taking drugs. The proof will be if he is drug tested before or during the season. He needs testing BEFORE he is allowed to race in the UK and should be part of his acceptance to be allowed into the UK. Only then can the Authorities know for sure it was a `one off`. And to not do that is putting other riders lives at risk by those in charge of the sport in the UK. He really should be drug screened BEFORE he boards a plane or at least at the airport when he lands. A sportsman should want to prove their innocence by taking a drug tests before he returns to the UK anyway IMHO.
  9. You reckon? The majority of top boys have health, physios and dietitians to advise them. Doubt they would mess all that up. I was going to say it is like silencergate, but really it is nothing like the same. The plot thickens.....................................
  10. And should make a statement to that fact if indeed that is correct (i hope that is true because i hope he doesn't think its ok for kids to take drugs) because the quote is defaming his name.
  11. I must admit i had to stop for a minute as i couldn't believe starman actually posted that and that it appears he actually believes it. Talk about being in a minority of one, although i am sure that some other Poole-ites will spring to his and Middlo`s defence because we all know how blinkered some Poole fans are. Thankfully the sensible ones can see that Middlo's actions are totally indefensible and are totally out of place for our National team manager to make. We wont win the WC for many a year now so there are several candidates that can do a similar job. Middlo has to go as National manager, and clarify the comments ASAP.
  12. Hopefully Ford will have a word with Middlo about his crass comment as well.
  13. Some said the same of Chris Holder. No such thing as never. All a cover up obviously. like we would expect anything else from the loose cannon. See that the link below gives the kind of response we would expect. A travesty Middlo hasnt admitted the ridiculous quote was either out of order or back it up. He needs to because whilst the story (below) gives a better flavour the previous crass comment needs addressing asap. http://www.bournemou...says_boss_Ford/
  14. If he was thinking properly he shouldn't have made such a crass remark, However he has. It is no good pre guessing what he probably meant to say. It is is the public domain what he actually said. He really needs to comment and clarify the comment because right now he shouldn't be made welcome as the National team manager.
  15. middlo i believe. I remember him posting stuff after the World cup a couple of years ago.
  16. I must try spot it more often. There you go again, how many posts do i have to like of yours tonight!
  17. I'm in shock. There is something you say that makes sense.
  18. Or maybe he should be the one to realise what it takes to be a professional sportsman. Hopefully so yes. Completely agree. Indeed. I guess it will come down to the point that he has been dealt with in Oz. They seem to think it is ok he can get his visa and come to the UK (from the oz website link). They must think it is ok or they know how soft the UK is on such matters. He certainly has the bad attitude that comes with most top footballers. Time he started to grow up. What do you expect from the multi named poster? Just put it on ignore, its so much easier. He posts on here, you can get in touch with him. So why don't you then.
  19. Makes you wonder doesn't it. His comments aren't compatible with that of the National team Manager.
  20. Had never heard of it until i saw the BSPA statement today. Seems to me this is going to be squashed before it has even got off the ground. I guess even a good idea has to toe the line. I guess again that this was launched without the proper authority. I still don't quite know what to make of the whole thing anyway at this stage.
  21. We must read and hear different interviews then.
  22. Or jesus But seeing as Scunthorpe is in Great Britain there is no disputing that
