  1. Personally id rather you ignored me instead of keep replying to every post. Not missing you one bit by the way :-)
  2. Poole don't do Brits, or care about em ;-)
  3. Woffinden and Harris the only riders that should be secured a place. Nicholls has retired from International duty and is way past his best at that level before he retired. King SHOULD be the next automatic choice but needs to be racing abroad to be a definite pick. It is time to push the likes of Worrall and Cook who are the next riders who appear ready for that level. Barker and Bridger do give their all but appear to be out their depth at that level. Hopefully the reserve nominations in the EL will give us one or two potential picks for the future - with the likes of Lambert and Ellis (in particular) showing great promise.
  4. I think that can be acknowledged as a given!
  5. True, but in favour of the World champ ;-) But in Poole language ...... Darcy is still the best , by miles . Its nothing to do with having a go at Poole. In fact its Pooleites that are trying to turn the obvious into something about Poole and Ward! The stats show the evidence from a GP and league perspective. The rest is just opinion.
  6. Time will tell, but i doubt he will be a one season wonder. He now knows what it took to make it to that stage and i doubt he will suddenly decide to step backwards in his career. Likewise i am more than delighted that our Wolves aswt has developed from boy to man in front of our eyes. I cannot wait to see what this and many years hold for him. He has the number one jacket now and others will be ready to shoot him down. Think he has already proven he has the ability to defy the odds. Everyone starts afresh in 2014 so lets see who `brings it`.
  7. This is the whole point Sidney. Ward is probably one of the most natural and gifted riders in any a good year. IF`s dont win you World titles and IF`s dont stop you getting injured by over riding and ruining your title hopes and IFS need to stay out of trouble and put your career first. WHEN Darcy does all those things he MAY just fulfill that promise and talent. As yet he is just one huge talent yet go all the way in the sport. Tai already has done ALL those things mentioned and showed what it takes to fulfill potential and ability.
  8. You mean YOU cant stand the thought that our World Champ is preffered by the vast majority as best rider of 2013. When Ward has achieved what Tai has you may then have a point. At the moment all you have is your opinion, which only some Pooleites agree with. Must be hard to take the truth that golden boy is playing catch up to the World`s best. Maybe this year he will realise that ability, until then he hasn't delivered the ultimate goal. 2nd rate in anyone`s book.
  9. So you keep saying. It must be a Poole thing as the overwhelming evidence is clear that Tai is. If my Auntie had dangly things she would be my Uncle also. No doubt you still believe Poole were the deserved Champions in 2010
  10. Another that gets the quote wrong. Not that i`m surprised as some posters make it up just to suit. But an expected post from one of the forum`s predictable trolls. I just included both your comments as positive replies to the nonsense some are putting up as logic as to why Tai wasn't the best rider of 2013. It wasn't a criticism!
  11. Wrong. Superguest worked out round by round, have copied and pasted below. Plus if my Auntie had dangly things she would be my uncle. NZ Darcy scores 12 from 6 (5th place) NZ Tai scores 9 from 6 (7th place) Bydgoszcz GP Darcy scores 13 from 6 (5th place) Bydgoszcz GP Tai scores 14 from 7 (4th place) Gothenburg GP Darcy scores 0 from 2 (16th place) Gothenburg GP Tai scores 12 from 6 (5th place) Prague GP Darcy DNR Prague GP Tai scores 19 from 7 (1st place) Cardiff GP Darcy DNR Cardiff GP Tai scores 7 from 3 rides (9th place) Gorzow GP Darcy DNR Gorzow GP Tai scores 12 from 7 (3rd place) Copenhagen GP Darcy scores 19 from 7 (1st place) Copenhagen GP Tai scores 11 from 6 (6th place) Italian GP Darcy scores 11 from 6 (6th place) Italian GP Tai scores 18 from 7 (2nd place) Latvian GP Darcy scores 13 from 7 (2nd place) Latvian GP Tai scores 15 from 7 (3rd place) * podium 2nd in scores Slovenian GP Darcy scores 10 from 6 (6th place) Slovenian GP Tai scores 17 from 7 (2nd place) * podium 1st in scores Stockholm GP Darcy scores 15 from 6 (5th place) podium, joint 2nd in scores Stockholm GP Tai scores 7 from 5 (10th place) Torun GP Darcy scores 13 from 6 (5th place) Torun GP Tai scores 12 from 6 (6th place) Darcy scores 106 from 52 rides = 2.038 Tai scores 151 from 74 rides = 2.04
  12. It is interesting that others put other logic to make a reasoned response. However you address it Tai comes out highly if not top in virtually all equations. Which of course is a very simplistic response to the thread title.
  13. Careful, you will have the Pooleites insisting that Darcy is still the best rider
  14. Well said. 2 collarbone breaks his hardly luck. At least Tai proved his worth for the title by continuing to ride against the odds. If Ward had of ridden thru his injury then he might have just won the title, but he didnt did he! Ward, Tai and Emil all had potentially Championship wrecking years last year. So no luck involved at all.
  15. If you read it that way then its not for me to point out the obvious lol
  16. True, you rarely get riders winning World Titles in their latter years of their career. PMFSL
  17. The thread proves one thing. A few still believe that Darcy had a better year than a guy who won the World title and continue to make excuses for reasons why. Seems some still like to stay blind and Blue.
  18. Tai was the rider of 2013, no question. Neils was a close 2nd due to his consistency in all the leagues. Followed by Emil and Darcy. Darcy had a dreadful start to the year but was excellent after he came back from injury. Emil in reverse - started like a steam train but then was starting to go off the boil prior to his injury. No idea why we have to have a thread to state the obvious. Still it gives Poole fans a chance to argue against the obvious.
  19. So tonights the night for Speedway fans to show the BBC and SPOTY that we dont support them either. Not watching or interested. We already have our own winner thanks !
  20. So Ford HAS jumped the gun. At first i thought it was all innocent and `out there` if a post had been put up on twitter. However if SKY haven't announced it then it hasn't happened yet, simple as. For the BSPA to rush out a press release is obviously as a direct response to the social media leak. 2 positives however appear to have come from this - 1) SKY seem keen to stay on board and will hopefully continue their excellent coverage of our wonderful sport. 2) The BSPA seem to be more `media friendly` with yesterdays `live` bulletins and todays prompt press release. Long may both continue.
  21. must need a nap, i even edited it because i but promoter in the first place lol
  22. But its what promoters do these days .................. edited for the 3rd time ;-)
  23. To an extent you are correct and that is purely down to the fact we don't have the riders to compete. However someone that the rest of us (Poole fans exempt obviously)can respect to not slate fans on twitter and speak up for riders who flaunt the law. That isn't having a go, its just calling it as a lot see it!. Well said. Betting the small nations such as US and Latvia should be the bare minimum to beat.
