  1. First post updated with line-ups for the first final. Both final will be shown live on Eurosport 2 (both UK and continental) at 6pm UK time / 19.00 CEST. I think the first final will be close and quite entertaining (if Indianerna have manage to sort out last weeks' ate bias and slickness of the track) while the second final should be pretty dull. Peter Ljung's participation is still uncertain and no definite decision have been taken. http://www.vetlandaposten.se/article/efter-skadan-vetlanda-tittar-pa-alternativ/ If PL cannot ride, they'll likely bring in Jacob Thorssell and/or Magnus Karlsson.
  2. At Friends Arena, yes that have been the case. However, adjacent to the arena, a new large shopping mall will open in November so there will be cafés. restaurants, pubs, bars and etc for future events but obviously not for this year. I also think the date is not very suitable. It's late September and we're well into the autumn. Sure it can be quite nice but it's not the same as the summer (especially if the weather is nice).
  3. Przedpelski is wild card: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/09/13/sgp-przedpelski-far-fortroendet-pa-hemmabanan/ Piort Pawlicki and Bartosz Zmarzlik are track reserves.
  4. They scrapped the average cap so I assume that it is a large contributing factor.
  5. It seems that Falubaz has some serious financial problems and it is not know if they will be allowed to participate in the Polish leagues next year, https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsportowefakty.wp.pl%2Fzuzel%2F546517%2Fkryzys-finansowy-w-falubazie-ponad-milion-zlotych-dlugu&edit-text=
  6. The driving distance is about 10km, but there are hardly any place near the Arena to park you car, by public transport it will take almost 40 minutes with commuter train and it's basically the only option to get to the arena (except for organized bus trips). I'd like to see some proof of this, since I am pretty sure that that the location does affect the attendance. Definitely not the entire reason but just as definitely a part of it, just as the lack of a competitive Swedish rider is. That said there is no suitable arena in central Stockholm. The arena previously used in Stockholm, the Olympic stadium, is now a dedicated arena for athletics and since they built new running tracks a few years ago, it is not allowed to cover the tracks with gravel. So the only other option in Stockholm would be Tele 2 arena which is located just south of central Stockholm. It is smaller then Friends but more accessible by both car (shorter drive and plenty of paring garages in the area) and public transport (subway). It probably would be cheaper to rent as well.
  7. They have already stated that they will not accept a promotion this season. Doesn't matter though, Masarna are too good anyway.
  8. So how many spectators are there in all the GPs together then? Allot more then on a one off final.
  9. Anyone know if Rzezow have any backup for Kenni Larsen and Peter Ljung? Kenni had a nasty crash two weeks ago and suffered a concussion, Ljung crashed today and is probably uncertain for Sunday.
  10. It will be Masarna against Vargarna in the final. Vargarna - Masarna next week and Masarna - Vargarna a week later. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153564746742770 Peter Ljung crashed tonight in his first heat, according to the live updates, he crashed on his own on the straight. Nothing broken but obviously in allot of pain..
  11. Yeah, I mentioned it a bit here : http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=76173&page=54&do=findComment&comment=2673363 Track conditions were poor, they had to accept to bring in track staff from Holsted to fix it for the league final (apparently they weren't much better) and the track was not allowed to be used before the league final. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Speedwayens-Superfinale-koeres-i-Munkebo/artikel/2774840 Results after 19 heats: Munkebo 30p Fjelsted 29 Esbjerg 28 Varde 27. 12. After 9 heats. Final points within () Fjelsted 15 (1+4= 5) Varde 14 (0+3=3) Munkebo 13 (4+2= 6) Esbjerg 12. (3+0=3) According to reports, there have been two controversial exclusions of two Esbjerg riders. Apparently lots of falls. Seems to be some ruts going into bend one where many riders have lost control due to the ruts.
  13. Results after 5 heats: Esbjerg 9p Varde 9p Munkebo 6p Fjelsted 6p

  18. Regarding the meeting at Lublin, Lublin official refuses to accept the ruling and will appeal. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsportowefakty.wp.pl%2Fzuzel%2F545484%2Fprezes-kmz-motoru-odpiera-zarzuty-sedzia-poszedl-za-daleko&edit-text=
  19. Yeah I can. During yesterday's meeting an Indianerna sponsor was handing out stickers which was a variant of the Calvin and hobbes p* stickers. This sticker featured Piraterna's club logo. Antonio didn't like that his/their sponsor did this and says that the sponsor should be banned from several of Indianernas's meetings and etc. Meeting is already available on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHLaz6f9w5k&feature=youtu.be
  20. It happen in Poland the past sunday that the referee actually deemed the track at Lublin unsafe to ride on and subsequently judged that it was to be considered a walkover from the home team Lublin. So Pila was awarded the win with 40-0. According to the sportowefakty article, the referee consider the lack of track preparations as being deliberate. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsportowefakty.wp.pl%2Fzuzel%2F545168%2Fkmz-motor-lublin-odwoluje-sie-od-walkowera&edit-text= .
  21. Dunno what they've done with the track. Normally the track provides excellent speedway but lately that have not been the case. Obviously the gate bias is unacceptable,.
  22. You gotta wonder why Lindbäck didn't ride like this three days ago?
  23. Yes, should be a nice but chilly evening. No Doyle for Dackarna tonight, Rasmus Jensen will replace him. http://www.dagensvimmerby.se/sport/speedway/e/816/gp-stjarnan-har-lamnat-aterbud/
