Fans shouldn't have to. There should be a dedicated section on the speedwaygp.com website with information on which broadcaster that have the rights in each country. Something like this: http://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/article/tvlisting then put the list under the Fanzone menu so it is for fans to find. Fia WRX have the tv-listing page linked from the first page.

Rolling, Moving And Jumping At The Start
Ghostwalker replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
if the rest of the sports world have technology to detect those who react to quickly, why can't speedway also have that? The mean human response time for visual stimuli is about 290milliseconds . Imo develop a system with transponders which will detect if anyone is moving when the green light is on and if any rider is reacting too quickly. I think a transponder system is the only way to truly separate good starts from chance starts and rolling starts. Until such system is in place there will be rolling starts and chance starts that will be unnoticed and there will be good starts that will be called back. Imo stricter marshalling would also reduce the likeliness of rolling starts succeeding. If the riders are forced (exclude anyone not obeying) to have front wheel 2 cm from the tapes then it will be harder to roll since if they do they will do a T/T. Also when it comes to 2min exclusions/gardening. If the referees actually would start to enforce 2min violations then the riders would adjust and actually making sure that they are ready when the 2 min expires = problem solved. 2 min is 120 seconds not 121 or 123 seconds and neither is it 118 seconds. They can do as much gardening as they like as long as they are ready with the front wheel at the tapes when those 120 seconds are up. -

Add a controversial referee decision to that. Antonio overtook Pawlicki in heat 15. There was contact, Pawlicki fell and Antonio was excluded. Most people thinks it was a wrong call since they say that Pawlicki tried to close the door on Antonio and thus initiated the contact resulting in his own fall. -

We have an average cap, which is set to 10.250 (heat averages) then there is an agreement (which some teams circumvent) of three Swedes per lineup. There is, however, no cap limit for the squad but a limit for 7 riders with an average above 0.500. As for the line-up, as long as the riders fit under the cap and as long as the two riders with the lowest floating average are at positions 6 and 7 a team manager can put the riders in any order he or she likes. -
Neck Brace Mandatory ?
Ghostwalker replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes and no. Pre-airfence there was mesh fence around the entire track which was kept with the airfence was introduced. Then initially with the plywood, the mesh fence along the straights was kept but apparently it has since been removed. IIRC the wood along the straight was tested at one or two tracks (Eskilstuna and possible a few more) for one or two seasons before becoming mandatory and back then the mesh fence was still there. -

Sure you can. Vetlanda did with Hampel. They replaced Hampel with Emil (who is part of Vetlanda's squad). So they replaced on of their two top riders (Tai and Jarek) with someone who is even better then the rider they replaced. As I wrote, it is all about how the team manager decides to build his team/squad. Dackarna could have signed a better rider then Hans Andersen to become less vulnerable to injuries on Nicki and Doyle but they choose not to and thus when Nicki became injured they will suffer (obviously also because Joonas in injured). They could have refrained from negotiating Dudek's contract and used him instead of Hans. They could've signed Janowski or Zagar instead of Hans but they didn't and now they pay the price for that. A team manager could like Dackarna's put all effort/money/average cap space on one rider and thus be vulnerable to injuries or you could build a team/squad with a little less one man show and a little more "depth". -

Which problems? Dackarna being rubbish hasn't anything to do with the squad system. Neither does it say anything about the squad system itself. This is how Dackarna decided to build their team. it is built around Nicki scoring 12+ points. The problem tonight was that MJJ+Doyle+Hans scored 14p together from 16 heats. A British style guest rider system would not change that. Remember that Vetlanda is also missing a rider, his name is Jarek Hampel, a pretty good rider. Thanks to the squad system, Vetlanda can use Emil S instead of Hampel. Rather than using a random rider for each meeting. Then look at the Vetlanda team, Emil S+Tai + Zmarzlik as heat leaders with Ljung and THJ as second strings + Holta at reserve. Nicki and Joonas would have made it closer but Vetlanda would have won easily anyway. -

Jan Konikiewicz head of SEC believes that Gorzow will remain in the GP-calender because, according to him, the Gorzow GP is to important for BSI to drop. Swedish Play-offs 2015
Ghostwalker replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Normally R/R is only allowed for injured riders and for riders that are occupied with federation meetings (national and international championship meetings and etc), however for postponed meetings R/R is also allowed for riders that are occupied with another league meeting. The rule that applies here is rule * 5.10.4 -
Neck Brace Mandatory ?
Ghostwalker replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No need. Read the rules. Rules 9. *, particularly rule 9.2.1 and *9.7.1.3. For straights formplywood 16-25mm thick, but apparently no mesh fence on the straights anymore. However these specifications are mandatory for every 500cc track that is used for league racing and competitions. So of those tracks that still are in use in Sweden, all tracks except one or two, have use this construction. Otherwise they would not be approved for league racing and competitions. -
Neck Brace Mandatory ?
Ghostwalker replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In Sweden, the fences along the straights are regular mesh fence with a thin wooden plywood like (formplyfa) board outside. This is the same at all tracks since it is specified in the rules. -
I would wait until the EU-commission have decided whether or not geoblocking is in violation of EU rules regarding free movement for goods and on EU's inner market.

Swedish "Play-offs" 2015. Elitserien semi-finals: Elit Vetlanda (1) - Dackarna (4) and Indianerna (2) -Piraterna (3) This Tuesday (September 1st) Piraterna-Indianerna Piraterna Greg Hancock Victor Palovaara Chris Holder Patryk Dudek Piotr Pawlicki Daniel Davidsson Fredrik Engman Indianerna Antonio Lindbäck Artem Laguta Piotr Protasiewicz Fredrik Lindgren Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Mikkel Bech Will be very close, possibly a slight advantage for Indianerna. Piraterna defeated Indianerna with 12p a few weeks ago, but neither team was full strength, Piraterna didn't have Piotr Pawlicki and Indianerna didn't have Artem Laguta and Piotr Protasiewicz. Indianerna won the first meeting by 6p but R/R for Lindgren, Nicholls instead of Artem and Rory Schlein on the reserve. Piraterna didn't have Darcy.. Dackarna-Elit Vetlanda Dackarna Michael Jepsen Jensen* ** Jason Doyle* ** Krzyszof Buczkowski* ** Joonas Kylmäkorpi R/R / Hans Andersen ** Nicki Pedersen / Hans Andersen ** Mikael Max* ** Robin Aspegren* ** Elit Vetlanda Tai Woffinden Peter Ljung Emil Sayfutdinov Tomas H Jonasson Bartosz Zmarzlik Kenny Wennerstam Rune Holta Dackarna's team is about uncertain at the moment. Joonas is confirmed as not riding. Nicki would decide Tuesday am. If he doesn't ride Hans Andersen will have to come in for either Nicki or Joonas. Nicki said in a comment to a Danish newspaper that he have a loss of memory from the actual crash and the first few moments afterwards. Imo it would be reckless by him to try and ride just 3 days after banging his head in the way he did yesterday. *=R/R for Joonas, **=R/R for Nicki. ---------------- Lineups for final 1 Tuesday Sep. 15th, Indianerna - Elit Vetlanda Live on Eurosport 2, 6pm UK time.
