  1. actually i think King is a better rider then Stead even if King's performance in Sweden this year isn't on level with his capacity.
  2. i think you forgot Dennis Andersson who have been riding very well this season. Anyway Ladyluck, there is plenty of Swedish riders that have gotten plenty of rides/season for many years without improving particularly. Then there isn't really that many Swedish riders from the beginning so if we would have a rule for 3-4 Swedish riders/team it would be very hard for all teams to find enough Swedish riders which would mean that the Swedish riders would actually demand a higher pay meaning that more teams would suffer economically. also i have an addition to Iris' post and that is that using a quota to get riders into the highest league wont make them better riders compared to those who have gone the long way from 50/80cc via div1 & Allsvenskan to Elitserien. And what about Poland? They seems to have allot of young talents but still very few of them seems to make it to the top?
  3. rumours are that the old silencers will be allowed.
  4. i think it is like this with each riders points/heat. Greg 3,0,1,2,1 = 07 Nicki 0,1,3,2,1 = 07 Bjerre 0, 1, 1, 2, 3 = 07 they all have the same number of points (3,2,1,1,0) so its down to their results against each other: Bjerre beat Hancock 3-1 heat 18 Nicki also beat Greg 1-0 heat 7 Nicki beat Bjerre 3-1 heat 11 Nicki won over both Bjerre and Greg and therefore he qualified for the semis.
  5. Przemyslaw Pawlicki, have received a warning from his swedish team for his no-show in Rospiggarnas home meeting against vargarna earlier this week. Pawlicki announced that he wouldnt show about 2 hours prior to the start of the meeting. Rospiggarna says that they had the possibility to fine him. However since they realize that it is his Polish team Gorzow that is the cause and because they want to keep PP for more seasons, they will only give him a warning. http://norrteljetidning.se/sport/speedway/1.891171-pawlicki-varnas
  6. two allsvenskan meetings are currently ongoing: Masarna - Örnarna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.CE Solkatterna- Griparna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.DA
  7. nice. here is the correct location of the Eskilstuna track. link.
  8. well manchesterpaul i disagree regarding Östersund, a track can be active even if it dosnt have meetings. The Österund track is used about 6 hours/week (during the summer) which is more then tracks like Gubbängen where Hammarby usually have their home meetings. The practising in Östersund is also organized by a team, Jämtarna. If a track is used 6 hours/week by regular speedway bikes i think it should count as active, no matter the type of activity. Also have in mind that Östersund is quite far north so the season is much shorter then further south which is why they don't have meetings. a few pics from recent activity: http://www.jamtarna.se/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=1
  9. its about 25 celsius at the moment. This is also why the meeting takes such a long time, they have to water the track often and allot.
  10. if you didnt know already rull results available here: http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.FC the other two meetings: Filbyterna - Nässjö SK http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.FC Gnistorna-Stjärnorna http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.DI btw anyone else having problems with the stream? its more like a slideshow then a video
  11. don't forget, Ikaros Smederna vs. Gasarna live streamed. Check http://www.ikarossmederna.nu closer to the meeting for link to stream.
  12. according to this article http://avestatidning.com/nyheter/speedway/1.886726-sajfutdinov-borta-en-manad-till Emil is still atleast a month away from a comeback to speedway.
  13. well might or might, i think its pretty certain that they will stream especially since the weather is expected to be warm and sunny.
  14. i think Jämtarna in Östersund are planning to have some "beginners" and practice session during the summer since Svemo gave them a "practice track" status. Also David you could (sson) add Visby since they still use the old track or practice i think?. They have also been granted a permission by the city environmental office for their new track so they have taken a huge step forward to the building of their new track. The track in Veddesta/Järfälla , mentioned by Anders, is used by Gamarna (Västra MK) link to aerial photo (eniro maps) link to satellite image (google maps)
  15. Thta is "old" news. Its been obvious for weeks now that Valsarna have problems since the supporters stays at home rather then going to the meetings. Also i've read that Gollob is "Injured" and won't ride for Västervik tomorrow. VV will use RR for him. http://www.vt.se/nyh...ticleid=5440325
  16. the Division 1 meeting between Eldarna and Ikaros Smederna had to be aborted after 9 heats because the track was considered unsafe since it was to dry, causing too much dust which made the visibility almost none. Smedernas Rasmus Eklöf was taken to hospital after a crash in which his footpeg got stuck in the kickboard and Rasmus fell to the ground. First prognosis says broken collarbone. Ikaros Smederna led with 39-13 when the meeting was aborted. source scoresheet In Todays other Division 1 meeting, Team Värmland won over Indianerna Junior with 58-38. scoresheet
  17. sorry to disappoint you David, but Smederna is not doable without a car since the track currently dont have any public transportation connected to it. Although a busline passes by it will only get you there but not back to Eskilstuna. Perhaps a cab would work if you dont mind spending 25-30-35 GBP on a cab ride. Also if going to Smederna i think that (Stockholm-)Västerås Aiport (ryanair) would be a better choice then Skavsta. Regarding Eldarna, unfortunately they are a very poor team and usually looses against the best teams with 40-50 points or so...
  18. JD is still injured (Cheekbone fracture) dont know if he had is OP yet but he will be away from speedway for atleast a month.
  19. Svemo have decided about new rules: http://www.aktuellspeedway.se/nyheter.php?subaction=showfull&id=1278018438&archive=&start_from=&ucat
  20. three Div1 meetings tonight: Stjärnorna - Hultsfreds Gymnasium http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Div1.IE Nässjö SK - Gnistorna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Div1.HD Gasarna - Filbyterna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Div1.CB
  21. the date is 100% sure unless it gets rained off, in that case Sunday August 22nd is backupday. I've made an enquiry with the racedirector (via email) about your questions David, hopefully he will reply quickly.
  22. i have to say that i am quite surprised that both Västervik and Valsarna have such poor attendances. One would think that a team like Valsarna, who have managed to return to Elitserien after many years' absence, would have some interest among its fans and those who live in the town of Hagfors and it surroundings. But on the other hand we've seen it before with Smederna, Masarna and many other teams. The fans seems to be too picky when it comes to their own team. Fans don't seem to understand if they stay at home their team won't get any money to sign good riders and then the team will loose allot and then more fans will stay at home. Some of Smenderna's officials claimed that the track is too far from the city centre. However in 2003 Smederna had an average of 4300 people/meeting then we lost the final against Kaparna and that was the beginning of the end. Also look at Dackarna, a team in a 1800 people municipality, who have had almost 4000 people/meeting so far this season. So i don't think the distance is the main problem but rather that people are too picky about what riders they want to have in the team. Regarding the lack of team points limit i would like one that was set about 10-11-12p higher then the 1-7 limit this would prevent teams from signing high averga riders just as a backup. Particularly Lejonen has used this method. A team that has won two titles with money they dont have.
  23. thank you Anders for doing "My" work i had planned to be more active with lineups, results & etc but i've been very busy lately. Regarding Ikaros Smederna and the streams of their meetings. Their next meeting is on Sunday away against Eldarna. However Eldarna's track Gladö Kvarn is of very low standard and i'm not sure if they have internet. In any case the meeting after that on July 7th @ home against Gasarna will most probably be streamed.
  24. two Allsvenskan meetings were held earlier tonight: Masarna won over Solkatterna with 72-24: http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.CD and Hammarby won over Griparna with 53-43 this meeting was held at Eskilstuna Speedwaytrack instead of Hammarby's track. http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.BA
