Grand Prix Challenge.
Ghostwalker replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
zorro in the Gps what a f*****g joke he van hardly score more then 5-6p in Elitserien. Cant really understand why he bothers coz he will be next years Nicholls. Cant say im looking forward to another veteran in the GPS -
Richardson is the only brit that deserves A WC. The others are not good enough at the moment. But i do like that Hampel and Holder are in. They are two good riders. my WC pics would be: Anto9, Zagar, Richardsona and possible Andersen if the current top 8 will be the same after Bydgoszcz
-
yeah i read that too there wasn't really many others too choose from with Svemo's silly rules. tbh i don't think he will be the saviour EVS fans was hoping for.

how about taking a look here: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=50588 ? in the thread that is just a few rows further down from this. -
he crashed in a meeting in Czech rep. broke his thigh bone. Vetlanda is chasing a new rider to replace Vaculik. no info yet on who he is. Also there will be NO live broadcast at Canal+ on Wednesday apparently Cnl+ chooses to show football instead.
-
vargarna's success is not entirely thanks to good riders the riders but the very advantageous hometrack which is short and narrow and most of the visiting teams have a very hard time riding on their track. Vargarna also seems to have a a good portion of lucj on top of that with injured/anavilable riders in their opponents team. (Gollob Laguta last week, Vaculik and possible crump next week)
-
no it dont. atleast not at the moment. WIth Vaculik out for 6 months and an injured Crump that might not be able to ride next week, Without those i do not think Vetlanda can match Vargarna. Especially not away in Norrköping.

I think Hampel and Miedzinski will be top contenders as well. -
Vetlanda's Martin Vacilik have broken his thigh bone earlier tonight and will be away from speedway for at least 6 months.

status update regarding Jason Crump: http://www.elitvetlanda.se/index.php?page=...e=1&id=1463 Jason had a surgery during Tuesday (yesterday) during which new skin was transplanted to the inside of his left upperarm, from the armpit and downwards. There is no nervdamages and no damages to any bones in his shoulder or arm. When it comes to rahab and healing, its different for different people and this is nothing that can be rushed but Jason is going on daily checkups to see that it is healing as expected. According to some people Jason himself made a statement, to the newspaper in Vetlanda, where he is supposed to have said that he want to ride on Tuesday and Wednesday next week because he want a revenge from the previous meeting in Norrköping between these two teams where Jason and Vetlanda suffered a huge defaet, hope Anders can confirm this.

Canal+ will show Indianerna vs. Lejonen on Tuesday. Wenesday's schedule haven't been released yet but a good guess is that they will choose the Sf that seem to be the closest. If Lejonen would end up veru close with Indianerna and vargarna would have maybe 12p Margin over Vetlanda i think they will go to Vetlanda. Or the opposite if Vetlanda is very close to Vargarna after Tuesday's SF and Indianerna have a decent lead over Lejonen i think they will go to Gislaved. I will update y'days scores later this evening and also add lineups for Fridays 2nd Allsvenskan final.

very exciting now Indianerna and Västervik current both ´-8 behind whichmeans Västervik would go through, Västervik looses the 16th heat with 2-4 and they are out.
-
Indianerna is currently best looser with -4 points. Västervik is currently at -8 and Dackarna at -16. additional live result available here: Lej-Dack http://essupdate.elitspeedway.nu/stats.aspx?matchid=86 Västervik - Varg: http://essupdate.elitspeedway.nu/stats.aspx?matchid=87 ElitV - Ind http://essupdate.elitspeedway.nu/stats.aspx?matchid=88

Previous World Cup Dates
Ghostwalker replied to rainman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think then, that Saturday July 17th (week 28) might be a likely date for the first semifinal. -
Jason will not ride for Elit Vetlanda because of his crash yesterday. Vetlanda will Peter Ljung instead of Crump.

Future of the GP's...?
Ghostwalker replied to Sprog1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well there are scenarios that i think can justify a Wild Card system. There is allot of injuries in speedway and a rider can enter the qualifications but hwta happenes if they get injured while leading the Quali semi but because if the injury he cannot continue the semi and misses the chance to qualify for the Gp challenge. Or even worse a GP rider enters the qualifications but also gets injured while riding a the qualifications. For this rider too the injury prevents further advancement in the qualifications. The injury also causes this rider to finish outside the top 8 (he was with top 8 before injury) don't you think it would a good idea with a WC system so that this rider can be in the gp the next season? The qualifications also sometimes reward those who are familiar with the track so i don't know if it would be possible but i would like to have 2-3 CP challenge finals instead of one just to make sure that no rider gets too much advantage from the track. I think that the WC system is good if used in an appropriate way. However i do think that is totally wrong to give the same people the WCs year after year. Like Nicholls should not get another WC because he have already got his chances Also Isn't Emil S a WC rider this year? -

TMC the track have been a disgrace at Ullevi every year. It was that this year, it was even worse last year, in 2004 it was the same kind of motocross track and in 2003 well they actually had to to postpone the GP a week after the riders striked. -
Future of the GP's...?
Ghostwalker replied to Sprog1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
there are already rumours that both Krsko and Dagauvpils will be replaced for next season. Croatia is mentioned as possible replacement for Krsko. Regarding BSI they are only seems interested in making a profit as large as possible. 15'000 people at Ullevi is more then 8000 in Eskilstuna and if the racing at Ullevi is more like motocross well they don't seem to care coz they got twice as many people. -

hey have a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Speedway_World_Cup http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedway_World_Cup http://www.kalender.se/index.php?getdate=2...1&calId=new as far as i can see, the first semi was held on: the saturday in week 27 in 2008 and 2009 the saturday in week 28 in 2007, 2006 the Sunday in week 30 in 2005 the Monday in week 32 in 2004 -
Slovenian Gp, Krsko 12.9.
Ghostwalker replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Tomcat i agree on you that the tracks normally are very slick but the isse with Krsko yesterday was that the put some new shale on and it was very loose and heavy plus over watered meaning that most of the engines couldnt cope with it. Atleast that was what the swdish commentators said. But it doesn't matter really, because i agree with you on that it was a borefest because of crap track. -
Grand Prix Challenge.
Ghostwalker replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I heard/read somewhere that Holta is considering to drop out of the Gps. And I do think that Freddie Lindgren can manage a top 8 since Hans A who is currently 9th doesn't seem to be going nowhere in the GPs and Freddie have a 12p margin on him. -
thread now updated with lineups and comments about Tuesdays quarter final return meetings.
