Yup, Tigers fans have caught the disease long associated with East of Scotland speedway .... Monarchitis.

Some brilliant pictures of the rejuvenated stadium on FB today. What a turnaround. Me thinks this is going to be one hell of a season for the Tigers on and off the track. Pinch me someone, I think I'm dreaming!

Scotwaste realised the Monarchs were reducing their income. Their business model is all about travelling round Edinburgh and collecting rubbish. Having it all in one place every Friday night was poor for business.

The Monarchs are the Liverpool FC fans of speedway. Never prepared to admit their own shortcomings, or bad behaviour of their riders, but will do so for others ... and will go to town doing so.

Silly season in full flow now!

Must admit, I go to their place more than others due to convenience and just wonder sometimes if they really do appreciate just how many Tigers visit outside our derby matches in comparison to the hardcore speedway fans from Armadale who visit us?

... and only a handful of hardcore Monarchs fans turn up anyway. Poor show.

For £25K I'm sure Shane Parker would pull on the Kevlars again!
