7 pointer coming in on a 5. That'll be the other half of Two Kevins then.

So a normal Sunday afternoon at Ashfield then?

Good question.

Oops! Thanks for that MANSE. However, the rest of my comments are still valid.

Looking at photos on Facebook there is some serious construction work going on at Ashfield. I do like the way the new promotion/owners are going about their business these days. Low profile, action speaking louder than words. Rather than the old style Red Alert bull.

Issue Gazc has isn't "freedom of press", it's the content of the conversation a person is allegedly having with them.

Crazy Sue And Her Gang Of Updaters And Texters

Thanks to all -
I missed more meetings this season than any other. In fact, I went to Armadale more. Why? It's hard to put my finger on one reason. When I think about it, it was probably a culmination of things. 1. Sorry to say, but the lack of effort of some riders just weren't worth me giving up a Sunday afternoon/early evening which can be family time. I can remember in the past going week in, week out (and taking the wrath of her indoors) just to watch one rider in particular. He was always professionally turned out (bike/engine and appearance), he always gave 100%, he was a master of his craft and a joy to watch, when he came to the tapes the adrenalin started flowing. That man was Shane Parker. Yes, he's gone and I need to move on. But we all need our favourites. And yes I know there are 6 other riders, but the Messiah alone made me attend. And yes I also know there's not many like him. Wolbert frankly never came up to expectations. I've heard/read about his equipment. All I know is I got pee'd off far too often watching him give up, not trying. He was our number one and failed in doing that - not because of ability. If I go to see a comedian and he isn't funny, guess what, I don't go to see him again. Yes some will come on here to tell me I should go week in, week out and support the club financially. Well in the simplest of terms, I'm not lucky enough to have your disposable income. You pay for me, I'll go. 2. Earlier this year I attended to watch Dimitri. He brought me to Ashfield. Enthusiastic, a trier, developed by the race/week. A joy to watch. When he got injured, some of the magic of attending died. Rusty entertained and exceeded expectations. Theo was Theo, he did his job. Kasper was another who tried, and that's all I can ask. 3. The promotion and meeting presentation. Lioness's thoughts about communication and start times mirror mine so I won't repeat them, except to say, as a family we make plans for Sundays in advance. A regular start time means I get my way. If not, my cash goes elsewhere. Meeting presentations were poor. And this is where the friends of those involved circle the wagons and get abusive on the Facebook clique page (BTW Tigers need more than just the few of you attending to break even). I can still remember the total embarrassment of a girl walking round the track with the riders pre-meeting singing Eye of the Tiger. Yes that was two seasons ago, but the same mentality which thought it was a good idea, remains at the club. The paying public deserve a professional presentation. Their minds need occupying between races (especially if there was a lack of excitement in the preceding 60 seconds), otherwise boredom sets in, and a feel bad factor develops and people leave the meeting with that in mind. So next meeting, instead of attending be a 'given', you think "can I be bothered going?" The tone of Red Alert I've commented on several times over the last two years. In simple terms, I don't need 10 paragraphs of Jackanory to patronise me into attending a bottom of the league meeting against a team I know won't entertain me. Please cut out the bullsh!t. I, and all the other Tigers supporters don't stitch up the back! I started by saying I couldn't put my finger on it exactly .... but having written this I think I have a better idea ...... a lack of adrenalin rush for george.m at meetings.
