  2. drosser don't take the bait. The Minions have such a poor team this year all they have to talk about is us! They daren't come on here saying what they really think about their own team's prospects. The truth will be known come 28th March at Armadale. Bring your daughter to the slaughter!
  3. BREAKING NEWS BREAKING NEWS BREAKING NEWS Edinburgh Press and Practice Day! The Blue and Gold promotion held an early 2014 press and practice yesterday in front of their adoring fans. 4. Is it just me. Or is it the same BSF members who slag off speedway that are now suggesting the BSPA should negotiate a great financial deal out of SKY with it?
  5. As a fan of one of the football Old Firm how can I possibly do that? Never, never. Oops!
  6. I am! In our sport we need all the enthusiasm we can muster across all supporters. Hopefully we'll all feel that way come March. Hopefully we'll see more competitive meetings at both our tracks in 2014, and even more friendly banter and mickey taking on the BSF between both sets of supporters!
  7. The Glasgow promotion/owners/etc have put together a good team under the difficult circumstances of a Sunday track, based in Scotland. Yes, there are questions marks. But that's part of it's appeal. They've re-built the team and by a long way it's the most exciting on paper I've seen for a long time. New faces. Young riders with potential and enthusiasm. Riders at the other end of their careers with a point to prove. I think the last time I felt as excited about a team was 1993. It certainly surpasses 2011 and look what happened then. There will be entertainment value at Ashfield no doubt. And that's what we craved last year. My God, mid season last year I would have donated my left rollock to see some exciting racing! Kevin Wolbert in full flow round Ashfield is a sight to behold. Yes, I was envious of the Monarch fans when he was in his full pomp. Burger me. He'll have the track record in his back pocket this season, no doubt. By all accounts, I'll be watching 16 year old Dimitri Berg through my fingers. Joey Ringwood - nothing beats watching one of your own getting better. Anders Thomsen, ditto ... and then some. Theo, will be Theo. Mark and Rusty, might just infected by the youth and enthusiasm. This is a team with "personality" and freshness. That's what we've needed for a long time! Let's not forget it was 11 weeks ago an email dropped in Tigers fans Inboxes giving the impression there would be no speedway this season. This is a great team, thanks to one and all for it, and good luck for 2014.
  8. I could have got a ban for what I was thinking.
  9. So Ashfield has been a great racing surface and track. Nice to have it in writing.
  10. We'll take both. End of season ceremony = inserting the wooden spoon right up your .....
  11. Don't flatter yourself. Anyway Glasgow don't need to build a team to beat Edinburgh. Edinburgh promotion have done that already!
  12. It depends on the definition used for "improver". For example, if Jensen rides to current form in 2014 he hasn't exactly improved has he? He might have upped his starting average. But that's just a figure on paper. I go to speedway to watch racing.
  13. Love St., Paisley. Purely for sentimental reasons as this is where it all started. Thought Bradford was awesome - a real spectacle. At the other end of the scale - Powderhall. A tidy stadium. Liked Berrington Lough. Was the temperature there ever above freezing point? Not a place for purists. Rather a spit and sawdust, nitty gritty, raw speedway experience. Loved it.
  14. To make that happen Anders will need to ride his real engine and not his lawnmower. I'm sure he will.
