I only saw Rickardsson a few times but he was in a class of his own. Out with all the other obvious World Class riders I liked Per Jonsson. A rider I paid to see many times was Shane Parker. Many Sunday afternoon trips along the M8 were to see him at Ashfield. Will we ever see his like again at Glasgow?

The rider is part of speedway in my opinion.What would your definition of 'speedway' be then? What about the impact of TV coverage on team sponsorship then?

Does it not make it easier for a rider to get sponsorship if he can claim potential TV coverage?

Apparently the Russians were aware of MI5 anti-communist propaganda leaflets being distributed at meetings, along with subliminal message broadcasts over stadium PA systems. I blame "Once a Jolly Swagman" for reduced attendances, team/stadium closures. Slough being the most notable victim!

Speedway attendances were in decline before SKY it is an on-going trend. How do we know that SKY coverage hasn't actually reduced the rate of decline? As I always say, please show us some factual attendance figures to back up your theory.
