Belle Vue V Leicester 15.07.16.
krompa replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Skidmore can be in for either Summers or Starke, right? Only difference is that if he is in for Starke than Wozniak can get extra ride. If he replaces Summers than only Skidmore, Toft and Auty can cover. -
Bloody confusing now. 3 EDR riders: Wilko 3.46 S Lambert 5.47 Rose 4.96 As S Lambert is out injured and he has the highest average, I understand that Jakobsen comes in to replace him in the main body of the team (at no. 2) and Rose + Wilko will be 2 reserves tonight?

Agree, many junior meetings also help. But why clubs invest money in these kind of non profit meetings? Simply because they know that they have to have wide base of U21 riders to find those ready for team places in league meetings! And by saying it is hard to find 16 not only U21 but also U23 riders in UK ready to race in EL, you only back this theory. 2 young Brits in each and every team and clubs will simply try to invest and find young gems. Much wiser from wider perspective than having young Swede like 46 years old Peter Karlsson in reserve tonight. -

It is always difficult in first year or 2. Some Polish U21 are also pretty bad and so what? Thanks to the system we find every year some talents like Zmarzlik, Pawlicki brothers, Przedpelski, Dudek and many more. -

True, very true. And IMO system is good. Developing Polish youngsters.Whole idea brought to UK was also good but for some strange reasons BSPA made 2 mistakes. 1st - allowed riders older than 21 to be on reserve. 2nd - messed it up completely this year allowing riders to switch positions. Whole idea of promoting British youngsters is almost ruined now. Hopefully they will work on it again to make it better and simple. Suggesting minimum 1 British U21 rider on reserve all season long. The other may be older (23 max?), also British and all year on reserve as well. Is it that difficult for them (BSPA) to have simple rules like that? -

Completely different team building in Poland. No CMA limits. Reserves - only POLISH U21 riders allowed. That's why Zmarzlik, Przedpelski etc. stay on reserve as long as they are U21. -
Can't they use them both as many times and whenever and wherever they want?

Kerr's fitness crucial factor as he may get up to 7 rides (RR twice and for Ashley in heat 5 or 8). -

Aggressive fans, pink shirt chairman (Dowhan) who is Polish version of Matt Ford with double standards, different for Falubaz, different for other clubs. And finally the fact that most of Zielona Gora fans think they and their club are the best and most important in the world. But at the end of the day it is only a speedway club from small, sad city where there is nothing more to watch and do. Forgot to add that Falubaz also identified with so much hated Platforma Obywatelska, Gazeta Wyborcza and TVN. -

Nice discussion here I see. Everyone knows Falubaz is most hated club in Poland. That's a fact. And I see tr3mm0r wants his club to be hated abroad too. I really like this idea! In terms of speedway teams quality I rate Falubaz as 4th this season. Way behind Gorzow and Torun, but probably close to Leszno if both teams at full strenght (with Emil and Jarek back). Sparta may add 2 words and kick Falubaz out of playoffs zone. If I were you tr3mm0r I would better pray to get any medal this year. P.S. My heart cries when I see Pieszczek in these awful mickey mouse kevlars. Want him back in Wybrzeze one day. -
Poole Pirates Vs Belle Vue Aces 23/5/16 Sky Meeting
krompa replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree with your lineups as it is what common sense suggests (unless you have it confirmed from the source). Not sure about winning margin tonight. Belle Vue run them very close twice last season and this year both teams pretty similar strenght. Fricke and Stevie Worrall on fire, Zagar slowly back to his best. Nicholls and Cook both a bit unpredictable, but Cook loves the track (10, 11, 13 last year). Might be closer than anyone can expect IMO. -

Common sense says Holder at 4 with Newman and Ellis twice. I will be surprised a lot if he is at 2. Really. -

There must be a catch somwhere as normally Belle Vue website provides lineups in correct riding order. Somehow Bjarne's average seems to be above Newman. Strange. -

Bjarne at 5? What is full riding order for tonight? -
Fast Freddie is getting close to his best. Good to see as I always rated him and liked his style. Last 2-3 seasons for some reason his form decreased a lot but now Freddie is back which was clearly visible in Warsaw. Not sure what was the turning point (World Cup win with team Sweden?) but he is 31 now and it is probably now or never in terms of international career. Fingers crossed for his come back to GP in 2017.

I see that BSPA added meeting preview for today but averages are still not updated and Issue10 not available. -

Latest EL Issue9 is dated May 4th (probably not including evening match from the very same day where Nicholls scored 3 from 5 and Cook 2+1 from 3). Nicholls on 6.96 before that match and Cook on 6.92. All very tight. Would be nice to see updated averages! -

From Belle Vue website: It’s unfortunate that we’ll be without Max for this meeting but the Rider Replacement facility will allow us to use the likes of Scott, Richie, Steve and Joe to cover his four programmed rides. SCB said it is Cook, Ritchie and Steve + Jacobs to take R/R rides. Who is wrong? -

I've just watched video on BSPA site. What a brilliant race track it seems to be. Pretty similar to some best tracks on the continent (kinda reminds me Bydgoszcz) Racing will be superb and I expect very good progress in Europe for riders like Cook after they gain more experience racing on it on a daily basis.
